Antaka stepped back, making room for someone. The young man behind him also approached slowly, his hands joined together in a gesture of respect.
"Grandmother!"
"I offer you my blessings!"
The young man spoke.
"You are…" Parvati's eyes lit up as she gazed at the striking young man. "You are Antaka's son?!"
"Yes, I am called Adi."
"Grandmother!"
"I am the son of Antaka, the grandson of Shiva, and also your grandson!"
[Adi] spoke.
Parvati covered her mouth in surprise and joy. She had just been thinking that Antaka should consider marrying soon, yet here he already had a child!
"Antaka!"
"Did you enter into a Gandharva-style marriage?"
"Where is your wife? Let me meet her!"
Parvati eagerly looked back, but saw no one.
Antaka's expression remained calm.
"While I was meditating by the river, my vitality surged and fell into the water, giving birth to [Adi]."
Antaka explained.
Speaking thus, he turned towards Indra with a contemplative look.
"Heavenly Emperor!"
