The grey-clouds hung high, pale and ghostly, showering the blackened earth with heavy rain. Neil stood just adjacent of her, mud congregating at his feet. His cloak grew wet in a matter of moments. Before him stood the beautiful mature woman—graceful, dangerous, radiating an unnatural allure. Her presence clung to the air like perfume, thick and heady, threatening to pull thoughts into dreams.
She smiled with a grace that cracked reason. "A fitting scenario for your end" she said, brushing silken strands of silver snow hair behind one ear. Her damaged dress also grew wet which made her dress cling to her skin accentuating her figure even more.
"We'll see", He didn't answer. His Azure runes grew visible and more concentrated than ever because her aura pressed on him which even made some of his rune's crack.
"You don't have to fight," she said, voice layered in echoing tones. Her voice was alluring, attracting Neil's attention as a pink mist spread through the battlefield.
Neil took one step backwards. His soul shook and even his Aspect located deep in his subconscious violently shook.
Now I understand why they all lost …
A grin plastered itself on her face as she walked towards him. "Those 3 were together so its potency wasn't as great since it was filtered among them but this time only one person is getting the full brunt of the mist."
"It's alright… you've done enough.", she spoke once more.
With every word, Neil's resolve wavered. Her voice crawled under his skin, tugging at his thoughts, soul and Aspect. He bit the inside of his cheek until blood touched his tongue. Focus.
"Coo. Coo.", ("Use the Four Tetragram Seal then layer it with the Eight Constellations Seal") the pigeon now hid in his robe giving him advice.
Neil heard its voice and quickly conjured the Runes which deflect the mist from him allowing him to regain some clarity but that did not stop the pressure of her Nux on his body.
She noticed this and smiled.
"Not bad"
She moved like a whisper in the wind.
She Is faster than Yoke by a long shot
Her fingers aimed to poke out his eyes.
Neil reacted in time and just barely avoided her attack as her fingernails grazed his cheek, sending a pulse of calming warmth throughout his body.
"Your willpower isn't too bad. The guy with the sword immediately fell to my Law when I released it.", she looked at Neil.
"But this battle is over", she winked at him and Neil frowned. His vision began to distort.
The battlefield shimmered. The Trees within the vicinity vanished. The sound of rain meeting the earth grew distant and finally silent. He found himself in a dark void where he could not move. It seemed as if something was holding him.
In reality Neil was still like a statue. The pupils in his eyes were a deep pink eluding to her Law in play. She sighed and walked towards him. She looked at the runes surrounding him.
"Interesting. I've never seen anything like this before. Maybe you could be useful", after analyzing his runes she was surprised because they were very unique. She could not completely understand them which intrigued her more.
She reached out with her arm and just as she was about to touch his face…
"Coo. Coo", (Wake UP!!!), the pigeon glowed with a white light shocking Neil to reality. The illusion he was under went undone in an instant.
Neil spun into a backward roll, avoiding the brush of her hand.
She stood there in surprise but it only lasted for a moment.
"Seems you have a handy helper there", she chuckled.
"What happened?", he asked breathing heavily.
"Coo. Coo", (You were caught in her Law. It seems even a touch from her can get you)
"Seems I can't be passive.", he whispered.
"What's wrong? Scared?", she smiled held out her left hand summoning a pink moon blade.
Neil responded erected defensive Runes. "Not even close"
She swung her moon blade horizontally and vertically in rapid succession releasing arcs of pinkish lights.
"COO!", (DODGE IT)
Neil was drawn to his companion's eager shout and leaped upwards dodging the blades. As he grew distant from the blades the blades suddenly fused together and formed a vortex which halted Neil mid-air and sucked in everything. This was only for a few seconds before they vanished.
He landed and looked at her with trepidation.
"Hmm…. I should really improve this technique to last longer", she looked at her moon blade and chuckled.
"You…. Can use two Laws?", Neil asked in a soft yet cold voice.
"Bingo!!! I'm quite surprised you noticed. They never noticed until the end.", she said and cocked her head into Ernest's direction.
"Anyone attentive to Laws will know that was a type of Wind Law.", he looked at her.
"Bingo again!! Pretty smart", she said in her alluring voice.
"And what will you do about it?", she said and raised her blade again.
Neil's eyes sharpened as she raised her blade again. His runes pulsed erratically. His body was getting sore, soaked, and tired—but his gaze never wavered.
"I'm curious, do you really think you've seen the best of me?" he said with a light tone.
She grinned, brushing her silver hair aside. "I think you're just about ready to fall for me."
Neil took one step forward. "I won't deny you are a temptress indeed."
"Why thank You.", she gave him an alluring smile and a wink.
"But beauty is meaningless when you are dead.", he said with a confident smile.
The air tensed again. The moment simmered, on the edge of another clash.
The pigeon fluttered under his cloak and muttered, "Coo. Coo." ("Well, its time we let loose")
Neil smirked faintly. "Naturally."
Her smile sharpened and she began laughing. "Good. That's it, make this more enjoyable."
Neil 's Nux changed from Azure to a transparent ether, his breath steadying. "Then I'll make sure you remember me."
A silence ensued as both individuals readied themselves. The sound of rain clashing with earth was the only thing filling the vicinity and in moments the clash began.
