Chapter 42 - Rachel This is...

{Author-chan: Welcome to another chapter, my dear readers. I hope y'all are well and that y'all like the previous chapter.

Today is the sixth day of the challenge, and I have energy and feel good. I feel like the story is going at a good pace; after all, stealing time in the INTIME world is not difficult. Alexia can easily steal it; that's why I am focusing on developing each character gradually. If you noticed, I am making each character show bits and pieces of their personalities, like Jenny is an intellectual person who has a bad side that will be revealed in the supernatural universes, Lindy is a quick-tempered artist, etc.

If y'all like the way we are going in this universe, make sure to drop some shiny stones. The goal for another bonus chapter is another 25 shiny stones, and the ones we have now do not count.

Okay, let's begin this chapter. You fuckers!

Toodaloo!!}

DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY

I ask John, giving him another chance, "Are you certain you won't regret it?"

He says in a firm and confident tone, "Yes, Boss."

I said with a neutral tone, "Okay."

A small smile tugged at my lips.

PRESENT

611 Anderson Street — Dayton, December of 2168

"And?" She asks, smiling.

Slowly stepping towards her, I say, "Ferocious"

Walking down the stairs, she asks, "And?"

Putting my hand around her waist, I say, "Voracious"

Tilting her head cutely, she asks, "Annnnnnd..?.."

Closing the distance between us until we are close enough to feel each other's breath, I say, "Insatiable"

Giving her a small kiss, I ask, "Ready to go?"

She says, "Sure" then waves back to her son.

As we get into the car, she asks, curious about our destination, "So, are you gonna tell me where we are going?"

I decide to tell her the truth, it's not my problem if she does not believe me: "Well, we are going to another world."

Rachel thinks I am joking and trying to hide our destination as she says, "Got it, another world it is."

While we are talking, Rachel shares what she has been doing the past two days and explains how her son found out about us, so she decided to tell her son the truth. She worries about how her son is taking this, saying he might feel that I might be using her, to which we both chuckle.

Later, as John is driving towards the tunnel that is used to change zones.

She asks, "Are we going to another zone?"

I say to her, "You'll see."

I ask Katie to do the thing: "Do the thing, please."

She asks, trying to take advantage. "Well, I want two dinners."

I said, not minding spending some alone time with Katie, "We will go to three dinners. How about that?"

She says, satisfied with her negotiation. "Hmph… Okay... Get ready."

Thinking that, "Finally, that Damn person is starting to give me some chapters and development" {Author-chan: That Damn person is me, Ta Da…👐🏻🎉}

Hirosaki, Japan—Limitless—8 AM, 14 February 2011

As we got through that, the familiar zone checkpoint did not arrive. Rachel's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

In confusion, she asks, "Where are we? Where is the border?"

I tell her the truth once again, observing her reaction, "We are in Japan in 2011."

Her throat getting dry, she clears it and asks in what seems to be a concerned and nervous-filled voice, "H-H…Hemmm…Hemmm… How? No..."

I take hold of her hand to calm her down and say, "Hey…. We're here to have fun, nothing else. Have fun... Okay? I'll tell you everything later. I promise…"

Rachel, now taking a deep breath, calmly asks in a concerned tone, "We can go home, right?"

"Yeah, don't worry. Now…" As I said, John took a left turn on Ogonzan-dori Avenue.

After making another left turn, we arrived at ぐっつり庵 (Guttsuri-ann).

The restaurant is located along the curve of the street, next to the ocean.

As we reach the place, the sliding door is half-open, allowing us to catch the sound of sizzling seafood. The smell of grilled seafood and salt hits us. Lanterns hanging, giving the place a soft amber glow just over the hand-painted sign. The wooden frame sign was waving smoothly along the sea. {Pic. in the comments}

Entering through the doorway, Rachel sees tanks that are lined with live fish, seeing them for the first time, which increases her curiosity.

The staff says, いらっしゃいませ (irasshai mase - welcome).

Then they ask, 何名様ですか (Nan mei sama desu ka? - How many people?)

I say, raising two fingers, ふたり— Futari.

A staff member took us to our seats, saying, こちらへどうぞ (kochira e douzo—Please sit here).

Handing out the menu, she says, "メニューになります" and "お決まりになりましたらお呼びください," meaning, "Here is the menu, and please call me when you're ready to order."

Rachel got excited now, saying, "Oh, this goya champuru looks good. Oh… let's order this live sweet shrimp, frilled oysters, gansu (fish cake), and…." {Pic in the comments}

I say, having fun seeing her reaction, "Okay."

She continues, excited. "And... and… this sashimi platter and seaweed."

As the food comes, her reaction to each thing, like grilling seafood ourselves, is lovely to watch, to say the least — the curiosity in her is addictive.

During our meal, we talk, and she continues telling me about her life while I talk about mine. Her reaction to my background was adorable and funny. It is every time.

After finishing our food, we went for a walk at her insistence, as she was keen to explore every small family-owned restaurant she could find. Oh, yes, she is a foodie. A big time.

We visited and enjoyed different places, including Hirosaki Palace and Garden, and also participated in the cherry blossom festival and Niji no Mart, where we tried different foods.

Returning home, Rachel was tired and...

In the tunnel — Dayton, December of 2168

She moves her face to the left and suddenly starts tearing.

I move and, holding her hand, ask, "What happened, darling? Are you hurt?"

She chokes up a bit, then answers, "No, it just… Arhem… It just, it has been a long time since I felt this happy."

I take her in for a hug and whisper in her ear, "Well... Tell you what. We will visit the world together. So, just be ready to not be bored with happiness… Okay?"

She starts chuckling, "We'll see."

As we entered the universe, we went back to The Century, as I wanted to introduce Rachel to everyone and vice versa.

The Century

As we enter the hotel, I hear Hannah and Jenny speaking in the kitchen and find that Diana and Lindy are not here — Courtesy of my powers.

Hannah says, snacking on her fruit tray in the kitchen, "I am telling you she will bring another woman."

Jenny says in a skeptical tone, "No, really... Pass me some berries, will ya?"

"Hmm... Hmm… I do. Here…" She says as she throws some berries one after another.

Jenny controls herself to catch them, and as she catches them in her mouth, she says excitedly, "What! Fuck ya"

Hannah rolls her eyes, though impressed.

As I open the gate of the apartment, Jenny sees Rachel, immediately turns towards Hannah, who is over the counter, and says, "Quickly, say a quantum computer is going to be delivered here, Master Yoda."

"Love, this is Rachel."

"Rachel, This is…"

{Author-chan: That's all for today. Now that Rachel has been introduced, we can move to Zone 4 and start the revolution in 4-5 chapters or maybe less.

I am thinking of mixing universes in the next one, as a celebration. So, drop the names of the movies, TV shows, video games, anime, and hentai. Doesn't matter; we will mix 3 worlds at most, though.

If y'all liked this chapter, don't be stingy with the shiny stones and comments.

Don't forget to read today's weird author's thought.}
