Chapter 139 - Awake. Reincarnate. Truth.

Chapter One Hundred Thirty-Nine:

Seconds, minutes, hours, days, months and years I would wait for her that long and just thinking about the time that would pass I almost didn't know how I'm going to live. That is why I decided, I would rather put myself to a long sleep until she comes back again. Death was my first choice after I lost my one only love, Siara. But because of her wish that I should wait for her return I change my mind.

I request to put myself into a deep slumber and wake up when the right time comes. Rather than to wait living without her by my side, I rather choose to stop everything while the memories of her still in my mind.

One Hundred Three Years Later

Present Day…

The year that I've been waiting for has finally come. I'm finally awake from my long slumber and now I feel like I'm going to breathe and live again.

"Welcome back." Norward greeted me as soon as I went out of my bed and walks towards the window.

When I looked outside my house, I was so shocked by what I saw. Metals moving on both sides of the road can be seen. Sounds that were new to my hearing and smells that I just now smelled. People walking in different directions in strange attire that is no longer as it used to be. And lastly, from the sky though my eyes cannot see, there is a big bird like flying and there is a deafening sound coming from there. That caused pain in my head as I keep listening to it and in every unfamiliar sound that I'm hearing.

"Ahhh!" I was suddenly pushed back because of that and Norward immediately helped me and he immediately made me sit on the bed. "Wh-what are those things from the outside?"

"Calm down, Haimon." He replied in a calm voice. "Within a hundred years of your sleep, much has changed in the world of human. Changes that human have improved in good way and in bad way as well."

"Wh-what are you talking?"

"Drink this first." He said and handed me a mysterious drink.

"What?" I suspiciously stare at him.

"A remedy. It will ease your pain. So, drink it. Don't worry, it doesn't taste bad."

I look at it intently before I trust Norward's words and drink it with one go. At first, I didn't feel anything after I drank what he gave me but then, suddenly, I felt an intense heat from my chest. Which caused me to have difficulty breathing until I finally fell into my bed while my sight begins to magnify everything and my surrounding suddenly goes round. Everything rotated and became like a kaleidoscope until it stops and everything went black until shattering lights wakes me up.

I suddenly got out of my bed and took several breaths before my vision finally returned to normal as well as my breathing.

"Wh-what happened to me?" I asked as I finally feel fine. The sounds I did not recognize gradually disappeared and were replaced by soothing sounds until my hearing finally calmed down as well. Finally, I feel at ease after all the revelation I found out outside my window. "Was the drink I drank, a potion from a Witch or a Warlock?" I curiously asked him as I take a deep breath, and then I sit down back to my bed.

"Yes, it's a potion that will help you to cope up with the changes of the Earth. And it was Dealla who made it for you."

"I'm grateful that she helps me."

"Anyways, now that you are awake. You must first learn all the new things in today's era."

Hearing that I am awake, that only means one thing. "Siara." I speak it out loud.

"You do remember." He said that I nodded. "Then, be ready. You need to meet her with your own eyes."

From a far…

There she was, the young reincarnated Siara. She was walking with those cute and wonderful smiles and it seems the one who's calling her was her parents. I can even hear their cheerful voices and I feel so relief by watching them even from a far distance.

"What was her name?" I asked while intently looking at the child.

"Her name is Shu Tokino Croosalba."

"Oh, that is why they've been calling her 'Shuki'. And her name means a lot. Shu Tokino, good, pure, virtuous and charming," I said and got worried when Shu Tokino suddenly trips down. "Oh!" I wanted to run towards her but then she suddenly stands up as she laughs as if what happened doesn't matter. "How old is she?"

"Three years old." Norward answered. "And I know you're wondering why we let you sleep for another three years."

"No, I understand. It would be better for me to see her at that age than when she was just a baby. It would just be awkward then."

"That's not the reason, Haimon." He answered in a very serious tone.

"Then what is it?" I asked as I stare at him.

"It is because she's been reincarnated as Human. A pure one."

I was surprised by what he said but I did not immediately believe it. "No…" I said with hesitation filling me.

"Due to your long sleep, you haven't fully woken up to your full potential as a Vampire but I know you can still do one thing. Clear your mind, and focus in one sound. Listen to her heartbeat and you'll find out the truth."

I don't know what to say or what to do but then in the end I listen to him and do what he just said. For a moment, I really hope and pray that he was wrong. That Siara's reincarnation isn't a Human but a Vampire or a Witch or even a Half-Blood but then…

All my hopes and prayers seemed to vanish when I finally heard her heartbeat. Shu Tokino is a real pure Human.
