1 WEEK AFTER
A week before Valeria's birthday I've already prepared for my proposal, from the rings to the venue, up to the set up, I want her to remember this moment for a lifetime.
We've been together for years now and I wanted to share more of my memories with her, I wanted to laugh with her, cry with her, be her crying shoulder when she was sad, be her strength when she was down, and be with her at the times that she was happy.
"Here is the ring that you have asked for ma'am". Wika ng assistant sa jewelry shop na pinuntahan ko, yes I asked for a customize ring, I want her to be the only person who has this type of engagement ring. "But, ruby for engagement ring, why?". Tanong nito sa akin, siguro nag tataka din kung bakit dahil karamihan nga naman ay diamond ang gugustuhin.
"Well...do you know what ruby stone mean? Love. Wealth. Great Health. I want my future fiance to feel this three things when she's with me, I want her to feel love, I want her to feel wealthy not because of money but rather because she have me, and I want her to have good health because then I wouldn't feel worried, I want her to have a ring that bleeds my love for her". I said as I put the ring inside the bag that comes with it, it's beautiful just like her.
AUGUST 13 (VALERIA'S BIRTHDAY)
"Love saan ba tayo pupunta?". Tanong ni Valeria sa nobya nito ang aga palang kase ay nag babyahe na ang dalawa.
"Just trust me love, malapit na tayo". Wika naman ni Lexi habang patuloy sa pag mamaneho.
Ilang oras pa ang lumipas at naka rating ang dalawa sa isang hotel.
"Bicol?". Valeria asked curiously.
"Let's go". Sambit ni Lexi at inalalayan na maka baba ng sasakyan ang dalaga. Agad naman na sumalubong sa pintuan ng dalawa ang mga magulang ni Valeria.
"Happy birthday anak!". They greeted Val with a cheerful voice. "Kumusta na ang pakiramdam mo? Napagod ka ba sa byahe ha? Tara mag pahinga ka muna sa loob". Wika nito saka inalalayan papasok si Valeria habang si Lexi naman ay ibinababa ang mga gamit sa sasakyan.
AT THE HOTEL
Ng maka pasok si Valeria sa kwarto at maka idlip ay agad din na lumabas ng kwarto si Lexi upang kausapin ang mga magulang ni Valeria.
"Tita, tito maraming salamat po ha". Wika ng dalaga sa magulang ng nobya, they were dining at the hotels kitchen, walang tao dahil nirentahan ni Lexi ang buong hotel.
"Walang ano man iyon". Wika ng ina ni Valeria.
"Masaya ako para sa inyong dalawa, nais ay ang kasiyahan ninyo". Sambit naman ng ama nito.
"I hope that Val would say yes". Halata sa boses ni Lexi ang kaba, hindi maikakaila na kahit pa nag handa ito ay kinakabahan pa din. Halo-halo sa isipan nito ang kaba ang tanong na "Pano kung hindi nya tangapin ang proposal?". "Pano kung hindi pa sya handa?".
"Anak, alam kong kinakabahan ka, pero alam ko din kung gaano ka kamahal ni Valeria". Sambit ng ina ni Valeria habang hinihimas ang kamay ni Lexi sinusubukan na alisin ang kaba nito.
THE NIGHT BEFORE VAL'S BIRTHDAY
"You look fabulous tonight my love". I said kissing her neck.As she turned around I can see her beautiful face and eyes shining like starts. Her waist fits exactly at my hands.
"Thank you, for all of this effort". A kiss landed into my lips as she finished saying those words.
I can see my future with her and I hope she feels the same way.
