The reason Yuto was surprised :
Yuto saw a white light coming out of what should have been the roof of the church hall and falling on a group of floating pieces of flesh and bone.
One pupil floating slightly above the pieces of flesh slowly turned towards Yuto, and then the teeth, tongue, lips and some pieces of flesh floating in many different places moved and made a sound that Yuto could hear.
