"Well done..... Well done, lad. I appreciate that you were sensible enough to ask your seniors for the guidance and didn't took the things upon yourself. This show's that you have a steady head on that shoulders of yours. And as for Logan Mason, I hereby expell you from this academy and will report to other academy and guild of this Kingdom about this matter." The gaze the headmaster held that time made Logan shive in fear and forget about the pain in his arm.
"Headmaster, I know what you said is true and he definitely deserves it. However I don't want him to suffer without a proper future. I request you to please reconsider."
Everyone, including the Headmaster and Logan looked at Phoenix in shock and puzzlement.
"Ha ha ha... Kid, you have the kindest heart and a logical way of thinking. I admire it."
Marcus then asked the seniors to untie Logan's hand and took his right arm inspecting it carefully.
" Logan, I will mend your broken bone but the dislocated wrist should heal naturally. This is the punishment you have to bear. and consider this the last warning. No using of your family names. The headmaster looked at him sternly. "If there are further incidents in future, you will be expelled on the spot without even a trail." The headmaster then healed his broken arm, which gave Logan a lot of relief. He bowed deep to the headmaster and apologized. Then he bowed towards Samantha and apologized to her also. But the manic glint in his eyes showed that he will not let this go so easily.
After that, both Logan and the Headmaster left the Inn.
Phoenix lets get you to the healing hall. Tina prompted. Not only her but almost everyone there insisted.
"Why did headmaster healed that bastard and didn't offer his healing to Phoenix?" Many wondered and even spoke out loud.
Scratching his head in embarrassment and touched that so many here were concerned for him Phoenix raised his right hand to calm down the crowd.
" Thanks you everyone for the concern you have towards me. However, I have a special talent and injuries heal extremely fast. The headmaster knows about it and that's why he didn't offer to heal me." He then untied the scarf and showed it to them. People gasped in shock. The wound which was clearly inflicted a few minutes ago, was almost closed up leaving a thin scar on his fair skin.
Tina took his hand and inspected it carfully, running her finger on his scar. She narrowed her eye and looked at Phoenix but didn't say anything. Phoenix simply smiled and inclined his head. After a few more minutes of checking and enquiring everyone returned to their seats and the atmosphere again became harmonious.
After the meal, all the three walked towards their quarters.
After spending some time at the reading room, Phoenix took his leave to visit the weapon repair shop near the main Arena.
"Am I speaking with master Lee." Pheonix asked to a sturdy man with thick arms looking like in his fifties, who was engraving a name on a hunting knife.
The man looked up at Phoenix after a few seconds and nodded his head. " I am Lee. How may I help you.?"
"Master Lee, I want the hilt of my sword fixed and also need a new crossguard for it." Pheonix placed the sword on the counter.
"Please wait for a few minutes, Let me finish engraving the name on this knife first." Have a seat inside. Master Lee ushered the boy inside and gave him a stool.
Pheonix entered and sat on the offered stool and watched the middle aged man work on the blade. Infact it was a twin blade he was working on. It read, " Tina & Diana - Friends forever".
The engraving was elegantly done. It was as if a calligraphic artist writing those words on a piece of paper. Phoenix was in awe of the ability of this man.
Befor the man finished engraving the words on the second knife, two beautiful girls walked to the shop talking to eachother.
They saw Phoenix and waved at him not wanting to disturb the Master working. Phoenix also waved back smiling.
" The engraving is finished ladies. You can have a look at it." Master Lee produced the knifes after cleaning it and applying a black paint like substance to it.
Thank you master Lee. Both of them said together and took the knifes. They looked completely satisfied. Then without saying anything kept a gold coin on the counter and bowed. "It's too much lass, 2 silver coins would be more than sufficient." Maste Lee shook his head and pushed the coin towards the girls.
" I honestly think we had paid less Master Lee. The work you had done is outstanding. Besides you havent charged me anything fo replacing the buckle of my sheath belt last time." Dian pushed the gold back towards the man and stepped back with a smile.
"Las, you had became smart in a couple of years. Hope you can get a smarter lad who can match your cheekiness." Maste Lee smiled and took the gold, making Diana blush and Tina laugh hard.
"I don't want any man in my life uncle Lee. You alway tease me like this." Diana said with mock anger.
Master Lee also laughed along with Tina watching the cute action of her niece.
"Phoenix, what a pleasent surprise. Are you here to engrave something on your weapon?" Tina asked.
" I am here to replace my sword's hilt and crossguard, seniors." Phoenix pointed at the sword on the counter.
"May I have a look." Tina asked curiously. When she got a nod of approval from Phoenix, she took the sword and drew it out of its sheath.
"Hmmmm..... Its a bit long and quite heavy for my taste but it is in prestine condition. Diana also took the sword form Tina and agreed with her assessment.
It suits me perfectly, seniors. And Mr. Richards told me,that master Lee is the best person to get the work done. So here I am. Phoenix looked at the middle aged man and bowed his head.
"Oh! You know Richards?" Lee asked with a raised eyebrow. He knew that even if you buy the most expensive sword in their shop, meeting Richards personally would be difficult.
"Honestly I met him today while I was having a conversation with my room mates inside the store. For some reason he invited us to his office and after having tea I got to know that he know my Father. And they are very close friends.
"Is that so! Well, let me see the sword." Lee took the sword from Diana and looked it carefully for more than a couple of minutes.
Perplexed, he looked at Phoenix. "Lad, this is actually an excellent sword. But I am not able to identify its creator. Who's work is this?"
"No idea Master Lee. Even Mr. Richards had no idea. This sword was used to test against other weapons created by great masters. But I was somewhat drawn to it and had to almost beg Mr. Richards to sell me."
Lee looked thoughtfully. Then nodded." Excellent choice lad. This is one of those weapons which can take a lot of beating and still won't break. But as the girls said, its actually heavy. Even for my liking. Are you sure you are comfortable using it?"
"I am absolutely sure of it Master Lee. This sword simply feels like an extension of my arm."
" Interesting. Quite Interesting." Follow me lad let me see how the sword works with you." Master Lee got up and started to walk inside.
" Uncle Lee Can we come and watch." Diana aske curiously. Lee smiled and gestured them to follow.
All three of them followed Master Lee to the back yard.
