About a month has passed since me and Ana started staying with Mr. And Mrs. Ishikawa. I've learned a lot from Mr. Ishikawa when it comes to hunting monsters and surviving nights in woods, forests, and labyrinths. For an old man he's really strong. I don't think I'd be able to beat him in a fight. Ana's been learning how to cook, do laundry, and just basic house stuff. Back in our world she was apart of a rich family and had maids doing all that for her. So she never learned how to do them on her own.
"Today's the day."
"I can't believe y'all are leaving so soon."
"We would love to stay and you two have been an amazing help, but we have things we must take care of."
"We understand, just make sure y'all visit from time to time ok?"
"Of course."
"And Ana."
"Yes Mrs. Ishikawa."
"Don't forget those special techniques I taught you." She said grinning
Do I even wanna know what that's supposed to mean.
"Well then. We're off."
Ana and Arthur waved as they walked off into the direction of the city of Tetrine.
"Well then, it'll be about a 10 day journey before we make it to Tetrine."
"10 DAYS!? That's waaay toooo long!"
"Stop complaining."
A few hours go by
"How much longer do we have to walk! I'm tired and BORED!"
"Please stop yelling. It's only a few more minutes before we reach the-"
WHAM!!!
In an instant, Arthur was sent flying through the forest, crashing though tree branches before hitting the ground. Blood burst from his mouth as he gasped for air.
Ana's eyes widened as she turned toward the direction Arthur had been sent flying.
For a moment, she froze, struggling to process what had just happened.

"ARTHURRR!!!"
Ana rushed over.
"Heal!"
Arthur coughed violently as he pushed himself up, blood trailing from the corner of his mouth.
"Are you ok!"
"I'm fine, thanks to your heal."
Ana let out a sigh of relief
"So what the hell is that." She asked sharply, glaring at the beast.
"A sabretooth bear."
"A sabretooth what?"
"It's a crossbreed of a bear and a tiger"
Shit this bad. That thing's on the same level as that dungeon boss, maybe even stronger.
"Ana, I'll have to do that."
"NO! We'll find a way to beat it without using that. We talked about this remember. What happens if either of us use it again."
Flashback.
"Am I doing it right Mr. Ishikawa?"
"Yes, now make sure you knot it tightly so that it won't snap."
"Arthur, can I talk to you in private?" Ana asked.
Arthur looked at Mr. Ishikawa.
"You can go I'll finish things here."
Ana and Arthur walked somewhere private.
"So what's this about."
Ana paused. Whatever was on her mind, it weighed too much to ignore.
"How well do you remember that day?"
The mood suddenly changed.
"Vividly."
"Good, do you remember getting a prompt asking about something along the lines of limit break?"
Arthur's eyes widened in surprise.
"So you got it too."
*Nods* "I think it's best if we don't use it."
"And may I ask why?"
"Cause we could actually die."
"…What makes you so certain."
"That night…Mr. Ishikawa did fine us sure. But we weren't both unconscious."
"Huh? But you said-"
"I know what I told you. Listen I did pass out, but I woke up before you and saw you had life threatening wounds. I tried healing them but it wasn't working. I also never told you this but I have a passive regeneration. I heal eight times faster than normal humans and I can heal any injury, including lost limbs. As long as I don't die I can heal it back overtime. But it's not instant like how I heal you. But even that was shut down. Limit breaking doesn't just use NE, it uses our very life essence. We only have so much of that to give before we burn out and die. If Mr. Ishikawa hadn't come, we'd most certainly be dead. Just promise me you won't use it unless there is no other option."
Arthur paused for moment. The sudden info definitely came as a surprise.
"How do you know all this?"
"I did some research over the past month. Just promise not to limit break ok?"
"…Fine. For you. I promise."
Present
"Oh yea I guess we did talk about it."
"It was such a heart felt conversation and you're telling me you forgot about it." Ana said in a disappointed manner
"Whaaaat? Nooo never."
The bear suddenly charged at them.
"Fine then, I don't need limit breaking anyway."
Arthur charged at the bear and jumped above it
*Wham!*
Arthur had been put into another near death state as he flew through the air
"Heal."
Ana fully healed Arthur as he landed his feet against a tree.
"Another one hit kill, you're no joke."
Arthur grinned.
"I've been wanting an actual challenge! I got bored of playing with weak small fry!
Arthur launched himself off the tree toward the bear and proceeded to hit it with an axe kick, but the bear doesn't even flinch.
"Damn. My kick did nothing."
"Here use this!"
Ana suddenly tossed Arthur a weapon.
"WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GET A SHOTGUN!"
"Mr. Ishikawa gave it as a parting gift, although he said it has at best 2 shots left in it."
Sounds like he just wanted a reason to get rid of it.
"Whatever it's better than nothing. Get ready you beast. Cause I'm about to splatter your blood everywhere."
Arthur charged at the bear with the shotgun in hand.
"Ana heal me as soon as I get hit!"
"On it!"
The beast swung. Arthur ducked and was able to dodged it, but the second swing came to fast.
*Wham!*
"Heal."
Arthur went in again
*Wham!* "Heal" *Wham!* "Heal!" *Wham!!* "Heal!!"
Over and over Arthur had been taking hits that would've killed him instantly, or technically, did kill him instantly, but Ana was able to heal him over and over. Both were now heavily breathing as they were reaching their limit. But they still had yet to do any damage to the bear.
"Tsk. This is so annoying! Fine then."
"Are you gonna show that side." Ana said with extreme excitement in her voice
Arthur grinned devilishly as he charged at the bear.
*Wham!*
The bear had beheaded Arthur.
"Heal!"
Arthur came back grinning even harder
"So that's what it feels like to be killed several times over! HAHHAHHA MARVELOUS!! MORE! SHOW ME MORE!"
This time when the bear swung, Arthur rushed toward it. The bear killed Arthur again but Ana instantly healed him. Arthur then pointed the gun to the bears head.
"That's one."
*Boom!*
The bear screams in pain as half its face had been blown off, however, it still wasn't dead.
"Woooow. You can take a shotgun shot to the head!"
Arthur throws the shotgun down.
"NOW I WANNA SEE IF I CAN EVEN KILL YOU WITH MY BEAR HANDS!!!"
Arthur charged at the bear but this time with half its face gone it had a huge blind spot
*Wham!*
Arthur delivered a swift kick to the bear. The bear swung, but it was obvious that its movements were getting slower.
"Come on big guy. You can't be done just from a shot and and kick."
As Ana watched from the sidelines, she couldn't help but become memorized by this side of Arthur.
"Fine then. Guess I'll just end you."
"Blood manipulation. Blood blade."
Blood manipulation: Allows you to manipulate the blood around you and create any object. However, the bigger and more sophisticated the item, the more blood consumption it takes to create.
What? Since when could Arthur do that. Does that even inline with his ability?
Then in a fraction of a second Arthur had dashed toward the bear and in one swing, sliced it in half.
"What a waste of time."
"Arthur! That was so cool my love." She exclaimed as she grabbed his hand.
*Blushing* "W-What no it wasn't really anything all that special!"
"Also when did you learn to do that."
Ana pointed toward the dark red sword made of blood Arthur was holding.
"Uuuuh. Just now I guess."
"But you did it like you've done it before."
"Well, our powers do make us instantly proficient in the abilities they come with."
"No? I had to practice with mine after that dungeon fight. Mrs. Ishikawa helped me. Since I was able to love her like she was my own mother, the ability worked. Though she wasn't going and getting her head taken off."
"Yeeeeaaa sorry."
Wait…she doesn't instantly master her abilities? But I know I can. Though I guess it is strange. That my first time using that ability and yet I used like it was second nature. Wait does this ability even align with my power?!
"So what do we do with the body of this bear."
Arthur though for a moment.
"I wanna try something"
He walked over to the bear and bit into it, beginning to drink its blood
"You know you could've just said you were into that. I would've gladly let you drink my blood."
"ITS NOT LIKE THAT!"
*sighs* "I'm doing this for my ability to work. It requires me to intake a bit of the beings blood."
Arthur sucked the bears blood until the condition was met.
Conditions met. Activate ability: Slave summon?
"Confirm"
Confirmation. Ability slave summon is now activated.
"Now then, let's try it out"
"Slave summon!"
Suddenly, the lifeless bear on the floor started moving.
