To you, from the past.
I assure you a great change. No matter how insignificant this letter I write to my past will be for my present and to my future: it will serve to me a sentimental warning for myself. In the future, I... You... Will possess great power. You'll rule the entire continent, you'll hold the power to command hundreds of thousands of men armed and trained with guns, tanks, battleships, and eventually... Planes.
As a friend of mine, the girl who even you'll entrust your life to, once said; "No matter how far you go, how powerful you are, how much influence you hold, you will fall." These are words to live-by, since even us two will become too complacent with power. We will feel that defeat is impossible in this medieval world. But even we can feel defeat.
People will rebel, no matter how much loyalty our German Empire and it's people have: the land we take from other kingdoms; will still carry flames of resistance, that fire that burns within. Their nationalism that carries a nation afloat even years after it's destruction.
At current, I am in grave danger. I am not even sure if this letter will survive the fire that ensues within the building I am in. The enemy that is attacking me at this current-time; has taken ahold of my weaknesses, and only my right hand men (which there are few of in comparison to the enemy force) fight for me.
It...
It will be suicide to say the least. However I, as I write my letter have decided to use the ultimate weapon. If the flames of resistance cannot be destroyed; It will be through mankind's ultimate power that it will.
I will summon the same nuclear bomb that detonated over Nagasaki, in-a-bid to destroy the belligerents in this desperate scenario I have found myself in. As the enemy firepower smashes and breaks the windows, carve holes out the brick mortar; my soldiers with all their power, will shield me from this blast. For I am the one and only... For you are (my past) the creator of the most dangerous man of this fantasy-world.
The Chancellor.
In regards,
Hierd Die Grace
[ Chancellor of Imperial Germany ]
