Chapter 195 - Chapter 194 - Expecto Patronum.

[Chapter Size: 1900 Words.]

Third Person POV

That City.

...

...

"They're gone..." The Minister murmured through the magic mirror, receiving the information about the retreat of the Death Eaters and werewolves.

She looked frustrated, as this event certainly wouldn't be good for her career—actually, it could destroy it. Even though most of the Death Eaters were killed, this event was too big to try to hide.

"Damned... Dark wizard... you've just thrown our magical world into a situation with the Muggles never before recorded..." he murmured.

"Yes... you know the population of England won't ignore this, Minister..." The Prime Minister said, equally frustrated by these damned magicals.

They were in a rather bad situation, imagining the bureaucracy and public crisis they would face from then on.

"After the skull in the sky, they retreated, but the shadows are still in the city, right?"

The Minister ignored all the problems and turned back to the city on the screen, with Aurors flying, as she could see some black dots moving through the streets. Although it was far away, she imagined they could be those strange creatures.

"Yes... they are still all over the city... Minister." Another Auror replied.

"Those you saw with the shadow... locate him." She requested, knowing there were those suspected of being considered the second Dark Lord, although it was confusing since this same person was massacring all the wizards working with You-Know-Who.

"I can see him from my broom, Minister! He's near the city center." Someone responded.

"Keep an eye on him, prepare all teams to try to bring him down! If we have to do this, it must be before the shadows appear." She spoke in a harsh tone—she didn't know that man's intentions, and needed to arrest him for the crimes he'd been committing for a long time.

She needed to catch him; it was the only way to save her position and career.

"He's raising his wand to the sky, he's planning to use some spell." The same person who was watching the hooded man in the middle of the street said, seeing Snape preparing his spell.

"Expecto Patronum!" Snape cast his spell as an explosion of light suddenly erupted in the sky, illuminating the entire city, with all eyes turning toward the sky.

"What is that?!" The two ministers in the room looked at the television, with the cameras catching the moment as the white light became gigantic, taking shape at that moment, while four wings began to emerge.

"Is that an angel?!" The British Prime Minister exclaimed, stunned as he recognized the creature shown there, clearly visible to both of them, like a beacon in the middle of the city.

The angel was at least 50 meters tall, and as it took shape, it revealed a spear in one hand and a shield in the other.

"I saw him cast that spell! That's a Patronus Specter!!" One of the Aurors shouted through the mirror, clearly stunned, as the creature—neither normal nor magical, but mythical—was there, illuminating the city.

"Patronus Specter?!" The Minister of Magic widened her eyes at that.

The people in the city, especially the Muggles, looked up at the sky, stunned, and began to kneel.

"It's an angel!"

"God came to help us!"

"I knew He wouldn't abandon us!"

"Please! Protect us from these evil beings!!"

People began to shout automatically, coming out from where they had been hiding, looking at the angel in the sky, begging for help, crying after a night of terror.

The shadows were still walking beneath the radiance in the sky. But soon they began to fall to the ground, moving under the angel, while their shadows were visible advancing through the streets, though no one was paying attention to them anymore.

Snape had summoned his unique Patronus, acting as a ruler to help this city, while keeping his hand raised toward it, just as the shadows began to approach and enter his own shadow, so his soldiers could return without trouble.

The angel's wings began to rise more strongly, and small golden particles started to pour from them, spreading like rain throughout the city.

The entire city began to be touched by it, while the flames around the city began to die out. At the same time, when the particles touched people, their wounds began to heal with a magic that eased their pain and applied a healing effect over the entire city.

Magical reporters and Muggle cameras began to take pictures and capture it all, and while everyone was focused directly on the angel, Snape moved on to the second step of his plan before leaving the city.

"Arise."

He spoke, with the energy of death affecting the entire city, targeting more than 150 dark wizards that his soldiers had eliminated—excluding the werewolves, considering them useless and weak.

Black bodies began to form over the dead, as they started to rise. Before anyone could notice, Snape didn't want this to be publicly associated with necromancy, so they all began running toward him, though some indeed looked frightened by the shadows emerging from the dead bodies.

Snape remained for a few more minutes, with all kinds of shadows returning directly to him, as he waited until the last one finally entered his shadow.

[You Leveled Up!]

[You Leveled Up!]

[You Leveled Up!]

[You Leveled Up!]

Four levels in one night—he couldn't complain about such a thing. While the angel continued producing its effect, he then decided to leave the place.

With everything ready, he simply summoned the phoenix from his shadow, as it burst into purple flames and vanished from the scene.

The angel began to weaken afterward, its glow gradually fading away. Until it disappeared completely, while many people continued praying to it, due to the help it had given—as if it were a miracle during a night of terror.

"Where is he?!" The Minister quickly began to ask, after pulling her attention away from the angel.

"He disappeared..." She was answered by her men in the mirror.

"Damn it!" She cursed, clenching her teeth after all that madness.

While the two ministers were in a bad situation and the Aurors and army members tried to begin providing assistance and calming the Muggle population...

Snape appeared in the middle of the precise room, as the phoenix's purple flames announced his arrival. He quickly sensed someone rising from a nearby armchair and approached, unsurprised to see Rosária waiting for him.

"You finally came! What the hell was that? The magical world is a mess! I came as soon as I heard about the city being attacked." She said.

"It's over now." Snape said, since everything had lasted less than two hours from the moment he arrived in the city, faced Voldemort, and cast the Patronus.

"How are things here?" He asked her.

"We received the news directly from the Ministry, and all the professors were summoned for an emergency meeting, while Minerva decided to send half of the professors to assist the Ministry. The fake Dumbledore and others stayed, and I was one of them.

As much as I wanted to be there too, knowing that you'd be there... and I confirmed that when I came here and you weren't..."

She said.

"I understand." Snape murmured. "Anyway, I couldn't stop Voldemort before he managed to escape. I couldn't kill him this time, but we certainly left him with plenty of injuries. There's nothing more to be done now.

Surely the wizarding and non-magical world will be in chaos starting tomorrow. I'll be going to rest now." He said.

"Wait… tell me what exactly happened there." She wanted to know.

"Can it be tomorrow? I promise I'll tell you." He said, as she nodded.

In the end, Snape headed to his bed after greeting Dobby.

He placed a jar of pickles on his bedside table, with a snake inside it, wanting to study it starting tomorrow, interested in understanding what exactly it was about it that caught his attention.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, Voldemort was screaming in pain, walking through the corridor of that castle which served as his hideout in the middle of nowhere.

"AHH!" He screamed as he removed a dagger directly from his back with some difficulty, as it had fallen into a deep and hard-to-reach spot, feeling the horrible pain of the blade stuck in his flesh.

"Damn it… how could this happen?!" He kept exclaiming, cursing verbally the mysterious man who had faced him that night.

He finally started pulling hard as he reached the room he wanted, removing it quickly, looking for a potion to relieve the pain and heal himself.

The same could be said for his hand, now cut and made of metal, which still hurt. The pain was there, despite his metal hand replacing the original. He could still feel its cut.

Lord Voldemort watched the apparitions appearing throughout the place, as the Death Eaters who had survived began to show up, very shaken, trying to understand what had happened.

Voldemort drank at least four vials of potions before finally feeling relieved and returning to his men, furious. So much so that even they lowered their heads instinctively upon seeing the Dark Lord in that state.

"How many men did we lose?" One of the Death Eaters asked cautiously.

More than three hundred wizards had been sent to initiate the attack on the city, while more than five hundred werewolves had also been dispatched.

Voldemort might not have known how many werewolves had fallen—he would have to ask Fenrir Greyback directly—but he had an idea of how many Death Eaters: more than fifteen of them. Meanwhile, the dark wizards had fallen by more than a hundred and fifty. He had lost half of a significant portion of his forces. That was too frustrating.

Voldemort was at the peak of hatred and rage.

He had been hurt, humiliated, and defeated. He lost part of his men just when he was finally going to act after so long keeping a low profile.

He wanted to terrorize the wizarding world, but in the end, he suffered a frustrating defeat.

"We lost part of the force, but I want to know exactly how many werewolves were killed.

Find Fenrir Greyback and bring him here."

He demanded, and one of them left the room.

Then Voldemort turned to the other men.

"From now on, I want you to find out everything about that bastard and how his powers work.

Exactly how he's able to do that."

Voldemort was filled with deadly hatred, but he also couldn't say he wasn't impressed by what he had just seen:

black soldiers who fought in the shape of beasts, like an army commanded by that man.

He needed to know exactly how that power worked.

In fact, he wanted to have that power.

If he could do that, he would be invincible.

Meanwhile, helicopters flew over the city along with wizards.

Reporters from across the country began to access the place.

The great families immediately knew what had happened, and all attention, both from the wizarding world and the Muggle world, was directly focused on that city, listening to what had happened there—from Death Eaters being massacred by shadow soldiers to even You-Know-Who having to flee.

Everyone retreated, leaving only the one they call the Second Dark Lord.

At the same time, contradictorily, the largest recorded Patronus to ever exist was reported the following day, cast by the very man declared the Second Dark Lord,

while the image of the angel above the city would be featured on the front page of the next day's Daily Prophet.
