An Ning received a call from Yu Jingxi, quite unexpectedly. "President Yu actually called me, can I know what happened?"
"Nothing much really!" Yu Jingxi spoke in an indifferent tone, but then his words seemed to be quite thought-provoking. "Little sister-in-law, take tonight off with my brother and spend some time with Shishi."
An Ning thought this was strange upon hearing this. "Why are you stepping in for Shishi? Because of what?"
"Because I am her boss!" Yu Jingxi said matter-of-factly.
"Does a boss even manage what people do after work?" An Ning asked.
"As a boss, shouldn't I care for the artists under my charge? I'm worried that after the embarrassment she faced tonight, she won't be able to get over it," Yu Jingxi said.
"You don't need to step in for that, plus you're not her dad. Besides, it's not just her who has had a scandal, I'm in the middle of one right now, aren't I? There's a bunch of people saying I was raped," An Ning said.
