Completely shocked, his expression changed to utter shock as his eyes widened and his mouth opened, fighting the pressure in his body as he managed to get out a word. "W-what?..."
"Exactly what you heard, so unless you want to stop being a man, obey me, understand?"
With those frightening words, Issei couldn't say anything else, it was no wonder he had felt so threatened before, he would rather die a thousand times than stop being a man.
Returning his expression to normal, Issei slowly swallowed his saliva as he said the words. "I-I understand."
Then, as if everything was an illusion, the invisible pressure that enveloped the entire place and Issei disappeared, the objects stopped shaking and the heavy atmosphere as well.
The riajuu's eyes returned to normal as the grip on Issei's shoulder changed to a gentle pat, and as if that wasn't enough, he smiled calmly as if nothing had happened.
"Great, do what I said and we'll be fine."
Issei could only nod with a tense look as he watched him return to Koneko's side, acting as if nothing had happened.
"What?"
That's what the riajuu said when he saw that the others were looking at him, still acting annoyingly as if nothing had happened.
Seemingly deciding to let that go, Rias turned to Issei.
"Kuhum, anyways...I think we've settled things here, Issei, you'll start with your tasks today."
"O-oh."
With the aftermath of the previous event, Issei managed to squeeze out a response, wanting to get out of there as quickly as possible.
...
After a few minutes of a strange atmosphere hanging over the room, Micael watched in silence as Issei practically ran out of the room.
'He looks miserable.' He thought internally as he looked at the pale and sweaty Issei.
Cllck—
Opening the door as quickly and carefully as possible, he left at the same speed he had arrived at the door.
Cllck—
With the awkward atmosphere in the room increasing thanks to the silence, Micael took his hand out of his pocket to scratch his chin lightly, then exhaling weakly through his nose, he turned to the others. "First of all, I apologize to everyone for my behavior. I know it was excessive, but I believe it was completely necessary."
The other four looked at each other for a moment until Kiba ended up speaking first.
"It's okay, Micael, although I also think you were excessive, I'm also glad you acknowledge it, it means you are fully aware of your actions."
Kiba spoke with that characteristic pretty boy smile, his words made Micael reflect a little, he didn't expect that kind of word coming from Kiba, but it made sense, he barely knew the guy.
"That said, I don't disagree with your actions and I find them understandable. Issei-kun is...a bit too eccentric." Kiba's smile became strange as he remembered Issei's fame. "I understand your act of wanting to protect Buchou, after all she is your girlfriend, so I don't judge you, everyone has their own view on relationships, besides that I also see this as a way to show Issei-kun his new reality, from what I saw unlike you he doesn't have the mentality totally suited to this world."
Micael nodded in acknowledgement, he understood what Kiba meant by giving Issei a reality check, although Micael didn't think it would work like that, it was more likely that Issei just feared him and nothing more.
Looking away from Kiba, Micael met Akeno's eyes, waiting for her to give her opinion.
"Well, my opinion is much simpler, just like Rias, I myself never cared about the attention I attracted, the thoughts that boys had about me never really interested me or affected me, I never felt offended by it." She began to speak calmly, followed by a shrug. "While I won't deny that just because I didn't care didn't mean it wasn't sometimes really annoying, some people just seem to have no common sense or self-control."
Seemingly musing to herself as she seemed to recall some memories, she met his eyes again and smiled. "That said, I appreciate you saying that, even though I'm not your girlfriend and Issei-kun is harmless to me, I honestly felt flattered by your act, so I appreciate it."
She gave a slight nod and even bowed slightly, something that Micael returned with a simple nod.
"That said..." As she straightened up, she placed her hand on her cheek as her smile gave off a different feeling, her eyes narrowing into a familiar expression. "The way you dealt with Issei-kun was just...refreshing~ hahaha~, you did well." In the end, her head tilted to the side, the amusement and other emotions flashing in her eyes becoming clear as she met his eyes.
"Huh." Micael exhaled in amusement, this was a predictable response coming from Akeno. 'You say refreshing, but I think you mean stimulating.' Shaking his head slightly, he simply gave an understanding answer. "I see, I'm glad to hear that your opinion of me hasn't changed, apparently."
In response, the girl just continued to smile.
Hearing Akeno's answer, Micael looked away to Rias, about to ask her opinion, but someone else spoke first.
"You did little, you should have hit him too."
With that feminine voice in a characteristic low and neutral tone, Micael looked at Koneko beside him, feeling that it had been a long time since he had heard her speak.
Meeting her golden eyes as he looked slightly downward, he asked back. "Do you think I took it easy and didn't overdo it?"
Koneko shook her head slightly in response.
"So, does that mean you agree with my actions?"
Koneko then nodded slightly in response.
"So I did the right thing?"
This time, Koneko nodded faster, her hair swaying slightly as she gave a thumbs up. "You did the right thing, good job."
Seeing Koneko even speak in English with a Japanese accent while giving a thumbs up, Micael could only smile at the sight. 'That was cute.' Despite feeling like patting her heavily on the head, he didn't because she would definitely punch him if he did, so he just slammed his fist into hers.
The girl gave him one last nod after that, as he finally looked towards Rias.
The girl was looking at his interaction with Koneko with a smile and seeing that he was now looking at her, she proceeded to respond.
"I don't care what you did, just like Akeno said, I never cared about what the boys might think of me, but I appreciate your gesture for me and the girls."
Micael nodded as he smiled slightly. "I'm glad to hear that."
Rias responded to him by simply smiling more.
Until out of nowhere Micael let out a light laugh. "Hahaha."
"What's the problem?" Rias asked with a curious look, supporting her chin with her hand as she looked at him still smiling.
Micael ended up putting his hand in his hair and rubbing it lightly. "It's nothing, it's just that I thought I must look like a protagonist from a cheesy shoujo romance from the outside, it must have been pretty funny." He smiled at the mental image. 'Damn, I must have looked like a weird fusion between a Chinese young master and a dark romance novel protagonist, pfft.'
"I don't think so, I think you were actually pretty cool."
Meeting the eyes of the smiling Rias, Micael raised an eyebrow as he stared at her in silence, until understanding dawned. "Right...you're an otaku, I almost forgot, it's natural that you like that kind of thing."
Rias blinked a few times before moving her head away from her hand. "That has nothing to do with it."
He held her gaze with a raised eyebrow. "Are you sure?"
"Well..." She started, but when she realized she couldn't disagree with him, that she thought he sounded like a possessive protagonist in a girly romance novel, a faint, almost imperceptible blush appeared on her face.
"Kuhum, that's not relevant, anyway, didn't you say you would go back to change to go talk to my brother after the matter involving Issei?" Rias asked with a calm expression as she clasped her hands together on the table, completely acting as if she hadn't seen Koneko's silent and judging glare, Kiba's awkward smile as he scratched his cheek or Akeno's amused expression as she covered her mouth.
Following her lead, Micael just nodded and didn't continue the subject, he moved to get his bag from the sofa. "Ok, I'll be back in a few minutes." Waving lightly in farewell, he walked to the door.
Click—
With the door closing after Micael passed through it, momentary silence was what remained in the room with Rias sighing lightly.
"Sigh." As she silently looked at the door, she saw Akeno's face from the corner of her eye, a characteristic smiling face and a gaze that she knew well.
And indeed, it was only when she met Akeno's gaze that the girl opened her mouth to speak, however, Rias was quicker.
"Don't you dare say what you think, or I'll beat you."
In response, Akeno just laughed. "Fufufu~"
...
Some time later, after returning home to take a shower and change his clothes, Micael was back in the old building.
Walking silently down the corridor, he returned to the Orc's room and, arriving there, entered directly without knocking.
Click—
Passing and closing behind him, he kept his eyes on the three occupants of the room at that moment, Rias, Akeno, and Grayfia, the first two wearing casual clothes now.
And also at that moment, Rias and Akeno were looking at him in surprise, the reason for that he already knew.
"Did I overdress?" Micael asked as he approached, slightly raising his arms, his question referring to the clothes he was wearing at that moment.
A black button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up to the elbow, a black vest, and a black tie paired with black dress pants and black dress shoes, he was dressed in a completely formal manner.
"So, how am I?" Seeing how they fell silent as he approached, he stopped near them and asked again, spinning in place with his hands outstretched.
Rias was the first to snap out of her trance, looking Micael up and down as he turned around. She was surprised at how fast her heart was beating at that moment.
'I didn't think him making a simple change of clothes could affect me so much, clothes really do make the man.' She made sure to memorize the sight before her, the sight of formal clothes comfortably fitting Micael's muscular body with his muscular, veiny forearms on display.
Gently swallowing the saliva that suddenly appeared in her mouth, Rias forced herself to smile calmly as she replied, a hot blush rising on her face. "You look very handsome, a true masterpiece."
Micael smiled as he received the same compliment he gave from Rias. "Hahaha, thank you Rias."
She just smiled wider in response, looking happy.
"Per Santan...what a hot guy..."
At that moment, a faint but still audible whisper made Micael and Rias look towards the source, with Micael raising an eyebrow at the still surprised look on Akeno's face.
Feeling the gazes of the two, Akeno finally snapped out of her dazed state with a strange cough and a surprising blush appearing on her face.
"Kuhum, I-I mean, you look handsome, Micael-kun, seriously, congratulations." She smiled softly, returning to her noble lady act, acting completely as if she hadn't been blushing or stuttering just now.
Micael watched her silently without saying anything for a moment, he was a little surprised as it was the first time he caught Akeno at fault.
'This is the first time I've seen her blush.' With that thought going through his head, Micael then smiled at her. "Thank you Akeno."
"Y-you're welcome." Akeno replied, still smiling softly, but internally screaming in frustration and cursing Micael because she didn't expect that smile from him that made her stutter again.
"Indeed, you look very handsome, Micael, and to answer your previous question, no, you didn't overdo it, I'm sure Sirzecs-sama will appreciate your attitude."
While he exchanged glances with Rias and completely oblivious to Akeno's internal reaction, Grayfia spoke as she approached him.
Meeting the older woman's silver eyes, he nodded slightly in response. "Hmm."
His act of dressing formally was based on Rias's, even though it was a formal conversation and not a dinner, he was still going to meet his girlfriend's brother, who was also one of the leaders of the underworld, he felt it would make sense to dress more seriously.
"Well, shall we go?" Micael asked, addressing the woman, who nodded and walked to the corner of the room.
Standing next to Grayfia, Micael waved goodbye to Rias and Akeno with the other hand in his pocket. "Bye, see you later."
"Bye."
"Bye."
With the two girls' farewell and wave, the magic circle below Micael lit up and soon he and Grayfia disappeared.
With the two girls alone in the room, Akeno turned to Rias and asked.
"So...did you feel your uterus flutter when you saw him dressed like that? Are you ovulating now? Are you excited?" Akeno asked smiling and blinking her eyes "innocently" at her.
Rias just gave her an incredulous look before shaking her head and getting up from the couch she was on without responding, walking away.
"Hey, wait, you still haven't answered me." Akeno said, following right behind Rias, smiling in clear amusement.
But unfortunately for her, Rias simply ignored her.
