"I have seen the rise and fall of countless civilizations. This is but one moment among many." ~Skarner, The Primordial Sovereign
Man remember the good old days where you could just watch an ad to unlock chapters to webnovel. It was called Qidian back then. Then came the spirit stone stuff. I had so many of those just from the daily log in. And you could still watch an ad to read the chapter if you ran out of stones.
I miss those days.
There are comments from my old account on some of the original translated novels. Damn man. Time does fly.
Also I have just started Pokémon Sword and Shield Ultimate Plus the GBA rom hack just for some variety. (Finished games: Emerald and Black 2. Half Finished: X and Ultra Sun.) And yes other than Chimchar, Squirtle and Totodile I will always pick the grass type starter. Always.
All my homies hate Charizard.
This chapter will be fun.

"The king cannot find out about this." The Mageseeker said as he was led in by a couple soldiers and three nobles. "Lords Rhinestone, Diamante and Zircon.... It is my understanding that you are joining us for this?"
The three nodded all looking forward to what the Mageseeker was about to do. His half mask hid the fear on his face but he still pushed forward. The Mageseekers needed support. They needed to get back to their original position. Their storied organization and it history would not fall into obscurity. Not when he could do something about it. His cane tapped the ground rhythmically alongside his feet as they made their way into the weapon holdings.
"Cursed weapons..." He dragged out. "Not meant for some lowly mage." He walked up to the weapons and tapped them with the cane. The spiked circular shield was not wrapped. He used his cane to lift it and watched it flip the other way.
The shield bobbed back and forth.
"Guard." He called. "Pick it up."
"M...Milord?" The guard closest to him asked fearfully.
He spun around. "Pick it up." His order was cold.
"B...B.. But the curse...." The guard stuttered as he took a step back.
The Mageseeker tapped his cane and spoke, "Pick it up or else we will discreetly inform of your actions today."
The guard stilled as he looked at the Mageseeker in fear. His eyes flitted to the nobles who were focused on him. Turning to the other guard, he noticed her hanging her head not daring to meet his eyes.
With shaky hands, he reached for the shield. Extending one finger outward, he poked at the shield.
It wobbled.
"Pick it up!" The Mageseeker hurried him. "Do not waste my time." The threat of what would happen lingered as the guard bent forward to pick the shield up.
His hands gripped the buckle as he lifted the shield up.
"I'm fine?" The guard whispered. His voice turned to elation, "Its not cursed!"
The Mageseeker walked up and grabbed the shield away from him. "Give it to me." The guard stepped aside as he observed the weapon. "What kind of shield is this?" He ran his fingers over the symbols on the shield. "What do these runes mean?"
A few minutes later, he slowly turned to the wrapped spear and told the guard, "Pick the spear up."
The guard turned to him and nodded. Emboldened by the previous success. His hands curled around the spear as he lifted it.
"This is also... fine?" The guard spoke confusedly.
The Mageseeker stepped forth, looking over the spear. "Remove the wrapping around it." The same type of wrapping was around the other shield, something about it seemed off.
The guard nonchalantly removed the wrapping. The red flesh like portion of the spear came into contact with his hand and he stopped.
His entire body stood still. Frozen.
"Guard!" The Mageseeker called. "What are you doing?"
"Guard?" A voice came from the guard's body. But it did not sound like him. It held some sort of power the Mageseeker and the nobles couldn't quite explain. "Who? Me?"
The guard's head turned around slowly..... a wide smile on it. "Tut tut.... I'm not the guard." His entire body turned following the head, "I am much worse."
"W....Wh... What are you?" Lord Zircon asked, fear evident in his voice.
The guard twirled the spear around, his fingers shifting the weight from one to another. "I do wonder....." He raised one finger up and asked maliciously, "Now... where is the one I have a deal with?" The temperature in the room dropped several degrees at those words.
"You are.... the weapon?" The Mageseeker finally pushed out.
"Now wait juuuuuuust a second." The being said as it raised a finger to its temple. "Aaand there!" It turned around and walked toward the Mageseeker. "From the memories of this guard.... I realize that you are the retarded moron who led this group here. All despite Gregori telling your numbskulls that the weapons are cursed."
"You dare?!" The Mageseeker called. Anger overcoming the fear. "You dare insult me?!"
The being looked around mockingly, "Do I see any other dumb fuck here?" It looked to everyone else in the room. "Any others lacking in the brain department?"
"AGH!" The Mageseeker yelled as he thrust his cane into the guard's head, right through his helmet.
The cane was made of Petricite. It would kill this creature.
The guard staggered back, the cane lodged in its head. And then it stopped. Its hand reached for the cane and pulled it out slowly. The injury due to the cane healed instantly. "Well... since Gregori isn't using me.... I can use some blood...."
It swung its spear in a wide arc and the female guard who stood locked in fear was split in half. Walking to the corpse, it stabbed the tail end of the spear into it.
SWWOOOOP
In a instant the blood in the bisected body was suck out leaving a dry husk.
"Oh!" The being exclaimed. "Now this is a proper rush! Almost like a high!" It then turned its attention back toward the rest of the room's occupants.
WHOOSH
The being appeared in front of the nobles and speared through each of them.
The Mageseeker stepped back in fear. Three heads of noble families dead in an instant. Their bodies turning into empty husks as they remained speared to the weapon.
SWISH
SWISH
SWISH
The being swung the spear twice, ejecting the top two bodies but the third one was stuck to the spear.
"Huh?" It muttered.
SWISH
"Not willing to leave my spear?" The being asked. It shook its head and pointed the spear tip down, the husk slid down it in a wet slop. It raised its foot and placed it on the body and pulled the spear free.
"Now..." It muttered.
WHOOOSH
The Mageseeker blinked as the being appeared in front of him. He flinched as he stumbled backward, arms flailing.
"Answer this question for me....." The creature ordered. "Were you parents siblings?"
He stood in shock at the question.
"Well if not then they should have killed themselves for giving birth to someone as stupid as you." The being continued as it swung the spear one last time.
The last thing the Mageseeker remembered before dying was falling. Falling to the ground, while his legs stood straight.
"Gregori is imprisoned. Which is a little problem... but he has a plan. That fucker always has a plan. Whether they work or not is an entirely different matter." He flexed his fingers. "A host that is not Gregori. It feels wrong. But the control over the body is an unparalleled feeling."
He shot a glance at Joraal. "Lucky these morons didn't pick up Joraal to test this."
"I think it is time to do Gregori a little favor." Caalyx stepped past the door to the weapon holdings and walked out.
He walked through the dwelling and out into the open. He took a deep breath. The first time in a long long time, he was outside. Free. In control. He sighed. It would be a temporary thing. This freedom. He would have to let it go.
"Hey!" A voice called him to the side.
He turned around. A patrol of guards stood to the side.
"What are you doing here?" One stepped forward. "And what is that in your hand?"
"Some nobles forced me to take them into the weapon holdings and this?" He raised the spear. "This is the cursed weapon."
The guard's eyes widened as he raised his weapon. But that was all he could do before Caalyx's spear found its way into his head.
"I suggest you get more reinforcements." Caalyx calmly voiced. These men were unlucky. They did not deserve to die. They were just doing their job. But Demacia needed to learn through death and pain. And Gregori would enjoy this present the next time he picked him up.
A guard bolted away from the group yelling. Calling for reinforcements.
"Come on then." Caalyx spoke raising his hand up and folding his fingers over and over, taunting them. "I'll let you have the first move."
"AAAGHH!" Three of them ran forward with their spears.
Caalyx stepped back as they all missed their thrusts.
"First move's up!" He called as he swung the spear at them.
The three of them used their spears to hold the spear back.
"Oh!" Caalyx exclaimed in surprise. He could feel his spear being pushed back a bit. "Well that's what I get for not using the blood to transform into a stage." He spoke as he slapped his spear spinning it the opposite direction, sending the three guards to the ground as they lost their balance.
"If I follow that guard.... I suppose he would lead me to more of you?" He asked but did not wait for a reply.
SWISH
Two heads rolled. Their bodies bloodless husks.
The other three guards dropped their weapons and ran.
"They left you behind lad." Caalyx said to the one guard who scrambled to his feet. "Nothing personal buddy but Gregori did warn all of you to stay away."
Another head dropped to the ground.
"Would this amount be enough?" He wondered out loud as he swung the spear onto his shoulder and took a step forward. "Ahhhhhhh..." He mused. "We can go for a little more. Things will not be easy in the future."
"Should I visit Gregori?" He asked out loud. "Might be fun. But they'll probably make his life harder."
"Should I just wrap myself and be done with it?" He asked aloud again. "Nahhhh I'll scare them a bit more."
He walked in the direction of the guard.
No one stood in his immediate surroundings. But then he smiled. "Found you!" He said as he stabbed his spear through the wall. "I can hear your blood flowing buddy. Quite unfortunate."
He pulled the spear out hearing the withered husk crumple to the ground.
"Oh Demaciaaaaa~" He sang as he continued on his rampage. "What have you wroughtttt?~"
