Junghwa looked up at the woman floating before him, her smile alluring.
It sparked a feeling that he hasn't felt in five years, not a feeling of romance, it was something...personal.
Verita?... This is my Sponsor?.. Why would she bring me here? And who is she?
Her name never showed up in ' Survival of The Fittest.'
I need to know more, but first...
Junghwa opened his mouth to say something, but she spoke first. " Why am I here?"
Junghwa's widen at her words.
That's what I was about to say... Am I that predictable?
No.That was a fluke. She won't guess what I'll say next.
Verita smiled and cupped her face while watching his reactions. " That is what you wanted to ask, right?~"
Junghwa was about to respond but stopped as he saw her mouth open, ready to intercept his response as well.
It wasn't a fluke.
She knows exactly what I'm going to say. But how? I'll just give her a simple response for now..
Junghwa hesitantly nods.
His silent response causes Verita to burst out laughing.
After around 10 seconds of pure laughter echoing through the strange realm, she speaks, wiping a tear from under her silky blindfold. " That's hilarious! You figured out that I knew what you were going to say, so you just nodded! Hahaha! You're so funny, Junghwa!"
So she knows my name... Of course she does..
Junghwa slightly squints his eyes, annoyed. " Can I talk now? I'm not in a mood for jokes right now..."
Verita giggles and flies around Junghwa, hugging her book tightly. "Yes, you can talk normally, ■■~ I was just playing~"
Hold on a sec... What did she just say?
All I heard was some gibberish after she said I could talk...
Verita playfully covers her mouth after realizing her mistake. " Ohh.. Whoops!~ It seems I mispoke. Well, too bad!~ Hehe!~"
Verita lands on the ground, she stands up in front of Junghwa and looks down at him while holding her book closely, near her abdomen.
Wow... Even she's taller than me. Curse this short body of mine...
Junghwa clears his throat. " How do you know what I'm going to say? And why did you bring me to this place? Also, how?"
Verita stretches by pushing her arms upwards, showing off her assets in the process. "My~ my~ So many questions~ But how do I answer them?"
Junghwa looks away after glancing at her breasts, covering his mouth and blushing.
Those things are gigantic! The body of a goddess is divine!
Wait. I can't get distracted by these things! I have to collect information. But why is she acting like this?
Since with age comes wisdom, and since gods are nearly immortal, there aren't many gods that can act so childish like this without being broken in some way...
But she doesn't seem broken. She looks as if she's been free for a long time... Like she's still free...
I'll have to change my approach if I want to get more information.
Junghwa takes a deep breath and exhales before smiling, his tone friendly. " So Verita, could you please tell me how you knew what I will say?~"
Verita makes a surprised expression before pointing at Junghwa and covering her mouth.
She gasped and spoke with a surprised and playfully tone. " You just changed your approach in order to get information! What a classic, Junghwa!"
His friendly expression falters, but he continues. " What do you mean, Verita? I'm just talking the way I always do..."
Damn. How'd she know?
She's talking as if she's seen me do this multiple times already..
I need to know more!
Verita drops to the ground, laughing uncontrollably. " He's still pretending!~ He's still pretending!~ This is gold!~"
Junghwa's annoyance reaches it's breaking point as he clenches his fists. " Alright, that's enough! I'm tired of your childish behavior! If you won't tell me anything, then just let me leave so I can continue!"
She froze, dropping her book. He playfull smile turns into a entertained grin, she grasped her face with both hands, her fingers slightly spread.
She breathed heavily, her voice full of entertained joy. " Oh my!~ I can't believe I get to see this side of youuu!~ I can't believe it took so little to set you off!~ Thank you for letting me see this side of you! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU!~"
Junghwa stepped back, noticing her change in demeanor. With a shocked expression, he exclaims. " Hey, what with you? Why's you change so suddenly?"
Verita giggles for a bit more before noticing his shock. She then stops grinning then she covers her face in embarrassment.
She then turns away from Junghwa and claps twice. A light forms in front of her, then it turn into a vertical rectangular prism.
A blinding light shines from it before it materializes into a two story house. Verita, embarrassed, entered the house and closed the door behind her.
Junghwa's eyes widen slightly as he stares at the house that appeared seemingly out of nowhere.
He spoke with a surprised tone. " Is that... My house?!"
She just created my house out of nothing! How does she even know what my house looks like!?
Junghwa quickly followed her inside. He opened the door and found her curled up in a fetal position, floating around the living room.
He made a tired and slightly confused expression as he watched her bounce off the walls of his living room.
....
Junghwa walked under her and looked up at her before poking her back multiple times. "Hey... Can you stop playing now? I'm really not in the mood right now..."
I just got horribly eaten alive by a bunch of hellhounds!
He continues to poke her until she unwillingly opens up, slapping his hand away. " Alright, I get it! Just stop that!"
.
.
.
After calming down and sitting down on the L-shaped couch with Junghwa one side and Verita on the other.
Verita smiles apologetically at Junghwa.
" I apologize for my earlier behavior.. I was just so excited to meet you, and I wanted to see all the reactions caused by you not knowing anything~"
Junghwa pinches the bridge of his nose in annoyance before looking at her with a tired expression. " I understand that, but you made me irritated. You don't just do that to people.."
Verita crosses her arms and pouts. " Hmph! Well, I'm only doing since you do it t- I mean you're gonna do it too!~"
Junghwa's eyes widen. " What do you mean "you're gonna do it too"? You talking as if you know the future.."
Verita smirks, her eyebrows making a proud expression before reaching into her angel sleeves and taking out her white book. " That's because I can! This book is The Celestial Prophecy! The real one!"
Junghwa tenses as she shows off the book on a circular motion.
A Celestial Prophecy? Why does she have one of those?
Junghwa speaks his thoughts. " Why do you have one of those? Don't you know those are used to create events and Games?"
Verita smiles confidently. " Yes, those books are spread out by Managers and Game Designers, but this book is the true Celestial Prophecy! Or at least part of it! I'm not sure how parts there are, but I was given this part!"
So in short, The Celestial Prophecy is real, but they hand out fakes.
In ' Survival of The Fittest', there were many antagonists that had a book called ' The Celestial Prophecy'. These books were spread by angels, organizers, and managers.
These books show whoever opens them, the future they desire. They are made aware that the "future" changes for the whenever they make certain choices or work with certain people.
This leads to the creation of an organization called ' The Prophets'.
The main people in the organization combined their prophecies, and created what they call ' The True Prophecy.'
" So you're saying that this is the real Prophecy?" He asks, pointing at it.
Verita nods eagerly, gently shaking the book side to side. " Yes! But this is only part of the Celestial Prophecy. Here, it even has a title! Would you like to see it?" She hands him the book.
Junghwa hesitantly grabs the book and attempts to read the title.
The title...
" I can't read it. It's written in a language that I don't understand. " He says while returning the book.
Verita takes the book with a slightly expression. " Really? Well that's strange.. you should be able to since ■■ ■■■■."
Verita covers her mouth in shock, then she giggles. " Oh my~ thank goodness there's filters~"
Junghwa's looks down with a serious expression.
This is information that shouldn't be known to me at this point in time.
....
Verita hasn't revealed much to me... I need to find out what I can and get out of here.
Verita touches her lips and throat, then she smiles mischievously. " ■■■■! Junghwa ■■ ■■■! I am ■■■■! " she giggles. " This filter is fun!~"
She then opens the book and turns a few pages before she froze, making a shocked expression that was noticeable through her blindfold. " Oh..."
Junghwa moves closer to Verita and grabs her shoulder. " Verita, please... give me answers."
Verita looks at him and composes herself, smiling warmly. " Of course~ What would you like to know?"
Junghwa smiles.
Finally...
Junghwa returns to his seat as Verita crosses her legs.
Junghwa clears his throat. " So, firstly, why did you bring me here?"
Verita smiles while hugging her book tightly. "...I just wanted to meet you. I wanted to introduce myself to you, so I was really excited... But I didn't intend it to be after such a horrific death..."
He smiles knowingly. " You saw it in the book, didn't you?"
Verita nods regrettably. Her eyes suddenly widen as she remembers a key detail. " You see, this book is about your future... This is also one of the reasons I brought you here. I brought you here to inform you on the power that I will lend you as your sponsor."
Verita stands up, places her hand on her chest and bows apologetically. " I apologize for my behavior.. I didn't know and let my excitement take over before knowing how you currently felt.. What is your next question?.."
Junghwa's eyes widen with curiosity. " What kind of power will you lend me?"
