They instantly spotted the location of the temporary water extraction base, which had now turned into ruins. Yet, there were no signs of struggle.
Clearly, the water collectors and soldiers had not been able to put up any resistance and were swallowed whole. On the ground, there were fine trenches, which Wang Tao suspected could be made by the sea beast's teeth...
After imagining the attack these people had suffered, Wang Tao was somewhat reluctant to let the Golden Eagle land there. After all, the unknown was the most terrifying. Without knowing how strong this sea beast really was, it was better to be cautious.
So Wang Tao had the Golden Eagle circle above the rift as they carefully observed the water below, looking for any clues.
However, the rift was too deep, and the water inside was pitch black; nothing could be seen.
