Huo Zhanting gave his instructions and then left the hospital. After his departure, An Lan felt the hospital room empty and desolate, like a giant white monster ready to swallow her whole.
She blankly stared at the scenery outside the window until a knock on the door brought her back to reality. She thought it was Huo Zhanting returning, and her eyes brightened, but the light in her eyes faded instantly as the person outside came in.
The person who entered was not Huo Zhanting.
"Madam, this is the lunch ordered by your husband before he left."
The bodyguard was holding two insulated lunch boxes. An Lan then remembered she hadn't eaten lunch yet. She glanced at the logo on the lunch boxes, it was indeed from the private restaurant she really liked.
But now, An Lan had no appetite at all. She waved her hand lazily, letting the bodyguard put the lunch boxes on the table, "Just leave it there, I will eat it in a while."
