The giant mass of human flesh pulsated like a rotten heart.
I hovered silently above, the wind whipping my cloak as I stared at it—dozens, maybe hundreds of faces melted into one another.
Their arms twisted and fused in unnatural ways, eyes blinking without rhythm, mouths opening in silent screams.
It wasn't just a being.
It was a living nightmare.
As I looked around, I sensed it affecting the environment around it.
A sense of pressure weighed down the sky itself.
The clouds above had thinned, as if afraid to linger.
"Dead God…" I whispered, my voice caught as I didn't understand that thing.
Then it moved.
The abomination dragged itself forward, each shift of its malformed limbs cracking the earth beneath.
Screams echoed from the city below.
I could barely see the people running like ants against a titan.
But.... Something felt missing.
I couldn't put a finger on it but something didn't seem right.
