Adeline sat opposite Caesar in the restaurant. She'd just left therapy, and he had brought her over for a quick stop for food.
"So, will you come with me?"
"It sounds boring," Adeline said.
Caesar half-smiled. "I think it'll be good for you. Besides, you're familiar with Zayne. I think he'd love to have you there."
"Did you say his mate is a human?"
He blinked. "Oh yeah. Absolutely."
"Doesn't it feel like us?" Adeline asked.
"Does it?"
She cackled. "Pretty much."
"And yes, I'll come," she added. "A little travel wouldn't hurt."
"See. It'll be nice."
She hummed at the nice taste of the food, but amid her eating, she paused, feeling as though she'd seen someone familiar through her peripheral vision.
Turning her head slightly to another one of the tables in the restaurant, she stared at the woman seated with short brown hair slightly covering her face. However, when the woman sat up on the property, her brows shot up in surprise.
