Feeling very sleepy, Chenxing rubbed her temples and slowly strolled back home with her bag in hand.
She didn't walk through the outer courtyard but took a detour through a small path to the inner courtyard instead.
Lately, the outer courtyard was either being set up for a banquet or hosting one, bustling and noisy. Whenever possible, she chose to bypass it, as a pregnant woman who preferred quiet over noise.
Strolling leisurely in the inner courtyard alone, she noticed a few people hurrying about in the distance.
Chenxing didn't pay much attention and leisurely wandered around the courtyard for a while until she reached the living quarters, where she sensed something was off.
She grabbed someone at random and asked, "What happened?"
"The gentleman was riding horses at the equestrian field, and it seems he accidentally fell off…"
