Nightfall had descended.
Heather suddenly opened her eyes.
Her sense of crisis made her open her eyes and swiftly sit up.
The moment her brain woke up, it responded immediately; she remembered what had happened just before and quickly looked down at herself.
Her clothes were intact, and her body didn't feel anything particularly strange.
As she was puzzling over this, she turned her head and saw Nian Shen standing by the window, his back to her.
Seeming to know she was awake, he turned around and looked at her: "You're awake."
Heather sat there, looking at him, still not quite comprehending what had happened.
It seemed he hadn't done anything to her, so why had he drugged her drink?
What was infuriating was that she didn't know when he had tampered with it!
Could it have been when she went to fetch the cup?
