The primordial, pure fire of chaos and destruction remained contained despite its immense power and desperate desire to spread throughout the world and reduce it to dust.
Even though its power was so impressive, it was contained to a single point, destroying the volcanic profoundbing stone native to this world, and with it, an architectural masterpiece in the form of a black castle.
All that remained of it was nothing more than the mere memory of its existence…
However, the causer of said disappearance wasn't happy. Not in the least.
After all…
"… Filthy Demon…" Rasilyk, better known as the Dragon Lord of Catastrophe, or Scarlet to use his codename, cursed under his breath as he looked up, rising from the crater he'd been sent into after a direct punch from the fire monster.
"I could say the same, or more, about a lizard that ate too much~" The purple Devil hummed with a mischievous smile, as the robust, physically powerful creature of fire stood in front of him, acting as a flaming meat shield.
"What are you supposed to be trying to do?" He muttered, looking around. "You're dead, you know that?" Catastrophe said to him.
"How strange~ I'm pretty sure I'm talking to a corpse~" The Demon sneered back, narrowing his eyes in his smile as his book kept turning endless pages on its own from the beginning.
"I believe then that I'll have to teach y-" Catastrophe was stopped from speaking when a muscular arm wrapped around his neck, emerging from the shadows in the crater below them at a speed neither of them could see. Still, Catastrophe felt that grip on his neck with all the pain. In an instant, he couldn't breathe, with the sound of the metal of his armor crunching. Rasilyk snarled, extending a hand and concentrating a small sphere of murky red energy, firing it like a vaguely thrown ball back at his attacker.
However, the entity disappeared as quickly as it appeared, avoiding the destructive sphere as it flew past, before impacting the ground as it fell… Creating a pillar of pure destruction that rose into the clouds.
"Tch." The Dragon Lord growled, two wings of pure, visibly unstable energy manifesting behind him, shooting into the sky.
"[Call Greater Thunder] [Hold Species] [Gravitational Burst]." However, the Devil gave him no respite, causing, despite the fact that the clouds of smoke and ash shouldn't exactly generate thunderstorms, a massive and powerful thunderclap to fall from within, slamming into the unsuspecting Dragon Lord… Before he remained motionless.
The duration of this mysterious paralysis was diminute. It didn't even last a second, but that was enough for gravity, though greater than what any player would identify as 'Earth's', not in the sense of the material the ground was made of, of course, or in terms NPCs could understand, Midgard, to suddenly increase its force enormously, causing Catastrophe's weight to rise to impressive amounts, and thus, to fall like a brick.
Of course, since the immobilization lasted less than a second, and Catastrophe was several meters above the ground, he didn't even come close to it. But it was enough for a shadow to leap out of the ground and hit the Dragon Lord.
A flash covered the Dragon Lord, and with an immense impact, he was sent half a kilometer to the ground, hitting the ground like a very powerful missile, raising a cloud of dust hundreds of meters high. In the sky, Achernar's fists were ablaze from the force not only of the impacts, but also from the air itself, which had been turned into plasma by the friction caused by his speed.
Rasilyk punched the ground in frustration, causing the already large crater to swell. Totally unnecessary, but what were a Dragon's vices if not?
Either way, it was time to get serious.
"Damn Players… Not only do you deceive me, but you resort to such despicable tactics…" He grumbled. "[Wild Magic: Exponential Explosive Fists]" He blurted out, his fists surrounded by an eerie reddish aura.
Achernar snapped his fingers, glancing back at Bachelory, or in this case, Lord Ghøst. He was scanning the cursed book, smiling slightly.
"Hm~ I see~ In that case~ How about I show you a bit of my destructive power~?" Bachelory hummed in the voice of a Supreme Lord. "[Lying Teeth] [Explosion]" He muttered, pointing a finger at the Dragon Lord.
However, nothing happened, even when the book stopped on a page and flashed.
Rasilyk blinked. Not out of surprise, not out of being overwhelmed... But out of ridiculous confusion...
A mere Demon... Using explosions... Against him, the Dragon Lord of Catastrophe?
That meager instant left him motionless out of sheer confusion, as if he were actually hearing such nonsense...
However, instead of an explosion...
A pentagram burned into the already charred ground behind Catastrophe, and suddenly, a flesh-red, plant-like abomination burst forth, clinging to the ground with nasty roots and extending dozens of thick, tentacle-like roots toward the armor, trapping it as the summoning gurgled like someone drowning, making the Dragon Lord open his eyes.
Still trapped by the roots, his sheer strength managed to overcome them, and he turned around to plant a firm punch at the creature.
And as his fist connected, an explosion erupted. And it wasn't something like [Explosion]...
From the sheer scale of the destruction, the shockwave that caused Bachelory to take cover behind the Lord of Wrath, and the massive cloud of blinding fire that was generated in response, it was on the level of [Nuclear Explosion], albeit without radiation and the lack of a poison effect, or the attempt at one.
But that movement to break free and disintegrate the level 50 summon was all they needed.
It must have been the effect of that Wild Magic he'd used, an ability they weren't aware of, but which Bachelory recorded in his mind for later research.
From the side, Catastrophe felt a strong impact. Looking at his abdomen, he saw a knife stuck in his side.
He clenched his fist in anger, preparing to strike his attacker…
"[Posterior Shadow]" Achernar chanted, a shadow identical to himself manifesting behind him, instantly mimicking his attack as it merged with the Dragonoid, causing Catastrophe to pause for a moment from the second stab.
"G-Gh! [Destruction Wave]!" He suddenly roared.
Achernar gritted his teeth, feeling, for the first time since he came to this world, damage.
It was insignificant, but it was still damage.
An explosion hit him full force, pushing him back as it tried to burn him or blind him with smoke and fire, but the push was the only thing that truly affected him, knocking him several meters away from Catastrophe.
"YOU!" Rasilyk snarled at Achernar. "You smell like a Dragon… But you're not. You're a fake bastard. The worst of the worst. Tch." He spat out the armor, clenching his fists as he stood up.
"Fake?" Achernar's low voice came out like the savage growl of an animal, as he drew back his hands, pulling out two black knives. "A lowly lizard thinks it can call a creation like me a fake bastard…?" He growled, his arms shaking. "[Higher Speed] [Increase Physical Damage] [Increase Basic Attack Power] [Supersonic Speed] [Lightning Speed] [Duplicate Basic Attack] [Light Speed Buff]…" Achernar continued to recite skills, turning into a cloud of darkness and mixed colors…
"Hmp, you will die. Your soul will be a fine replacement for what I wasted on that piece of junk castle, and that Komodo thing will make a nice trophy for my nest." Unconcerned with Achernar's upgrades, the Dragon Lord hissed, also about to launch his own upgrades.
But he ended up forgetting one thing.
He wasn't in a 1-on-1 fight.
A furious roar and the crackling of the fire sounded behind him, and he barely jumped to the side, avoiding the Lord of Wrath's sturdy, flame-covered fist, but after that...
"[Maximize Magic: Plasma Ray] [Maximize Magic: Icy Maw]" A third voice sounded, stopping Rasilyk from returning his counterattack to Wrath, causing him to grunt as a powerful beam of pure plasma struck his back, pushing him towards the Demon, who planted a firm, burning punch to his face, followed by dark-blue ice teeth popping out of the broken, ashen ground, countering noticeably, but digging into his legs and hips like a predator.
Bachelory smiled, opening his book and choosing a page.
"[Summon Mid-High Tier Demon: Evil Lord of Pride]" He chanted, consuming the page that stopped glowing mystical red and blue as the free summon of the divine class item was used.
The pentagram appeared in front of him as Catastrophe snarled, snapping the ice teeth and grabbing Wrath's wrist, slamming a punch into his face in the form of a nuclear explosion, sending the Demon flying like a missile.
"[Neutralize Explosion]!" On the other hand, Komodo's third servant chanted. Betelgeuse's spell, which flanked the Dragon Lord, caused the massive cloud of smoke and fire to suddenly lose all shockwaves and force.
"Haha~ It seems I've arrived just in time to take care of this rubbish alongside you, fellow servants of Her Majesty~" The Demiurge cackled maliciously, gloating at how Rasilyk froze in surprise.
"[True Gods Slash]!" Achernar's voice sounded like a draconic roar, to which Catastrophe quickly turned in that direction.
"[Wild Magic: Catastrophic Energy Shield]!" He exclaimed neutrally, being completely covered in a red energy bubble, one that destroyed the ground beneath him as if it had been a massive explosion upon its very appearance.
Yet, Achernar, who had been 'sparkling' in color and darkness, suddenly disappeared…
For Rasilyk, it was as if he had suddenly been in another place in less than an instant… Covered in rocks and dust…
Even so, in that second that Achernar's attack landed, the number of attacks was such that not only was the catastrophic energy shield shattered, but also the armor covering his chest and arm…
The succession of almost countless attacks caused a gigantic explosion in its place, throwing Catastrophe back some 4 kilometers, destroying the ground with his body, before colliding with the base of a hill, causing half of it to be destroyed with just his body. But Rasilyk… He was confused… What the hell had happened…? It all happened in a single second… He didn't even see the Dragonoid's attempt…
Though at least he had the consolation that Achernar wasn't immune to his wild magic.
All the damage received by the shield, which let Achernar pass as if he weren't there, responded in the same instant, replicating the full force of the thrust and energy it received, sending the Assassin flying to the opposite side.
Though in comparison, Achernar's thrust was only a thrust, and with his marvelous acrobatic abilities, he was able to stop the thrust before he could move more than a kilometer away.
"... I'm going to lose if I keep this up. I can't use too much Wild Magic, or I'll consume all my souls. Tch, how did they predict I'd be here…?" He clicked his tongue.
"Well, at least we agreed you'll lose~" The Demon's voice rang out mockingly, as something enormously heavy fell to the ground, kicking up dust. But he was still beneath rocks and dirt… "[Calamity Push]!" The Demon exclaimed, causing the ground beneath the hill to glow purple before rapidly ejecting everything upward, like a giant jet engine.
However, the Catastrophe Dragon Lord didn't stand by.
As soon as the hill disappeared, dozens of small spheres of destruction floated unsteadily around it, before Rasilyk snapped his fingers, causing them to shoot out toward the monster.
The spheres impacted squarely, each one recreating nuclear explosions, making the entire fight quite ridiculous given the level of destruction taking place and how everyone was ignoring it as if it were nothing.
The smoke and fire were swept away with a flick of a blade, causing Catastrophe to duck, concentrate a blast in his hand, and use it in a slap at the Demon, powerfully pushing it aside, allowing Catastrophe to see its form.
The abomination was… Conventionally easy to describe. It was a fly.
A 5-meter-tall mutant fly, with murky, holey teeth surrounded by mold-covered mandibles, while tongue-like tentacles dangled from its gaping maw. Its compound eyes numbered five, with two on each side of its large head and one on its forehead, with three insectoid fly wings. Its elongated body, covered in sturdy chitin, seemed to mimic a humanoid body more than an insectoid one, with insect-like legs and brutal chitinous claws. The smell around it was nauseating and murky. Although there were huge chunks of flesh missing from his body where the spheres of destruction hit, bleeding a nasty green liquid that looked acidic as it sank into the ground along with the sound of something burning.
"What a delight my eyes see! They call one of my children and present me with this feast! It's been a while since I've had the good fortune to devour a Dragon!" The fly hummed in a hoarse voice, buzzing and gurgling, salivating as its disgusting jaws moved.
"Nauseating beast…" Catastrophe growled. "Get out of my sight!" He screamed loudly, raising his hand, but before he could sing anything, his neck was once again caught by Achernar's arm, squeezing it with enormous force.
"Hah!" He heard Achernar's laughter, a strange thing. "No wonder your helmet shattered after receiving 149,000 blows from me." Achernar blurted out, giving him an idea of how many times he had attacked him in that previous second… And of course it was a mockery, since the worst damage was on his shattered chest and his practically destroyed arm.
"[Hold Species]" Bachelory appeared out of nowhere next to Betelgeuse, with an Evil Lord of Pride, the demonic golden knight, standing in front of them like a protector, chanting an immobilization spell toward Catastrophe, causing him to freeze for a moment.
"[Weakness] [Drowsy] [Blindness] [Silence]" The other Devil chanted, causing Catastrophe's resistances to fight at full speed against the debuffs, one after another.
"Let's eat~" The fly hummed, pouncing like a hungry spider on tasty prey in its web.
Catastrophe made a fist and threw a punch at the gigantic, hideous fly as [Hold Species] finished, but his still-good arm was caught by Achernar behind him, pulling him back as he cleared the way for the High-Level Summon, which pounced at Catastrophe in an instant, ramming its entire body into the Dragon's legs, abdomen, and shoulders, covering it with its black fly wings, while its tube-like mouth opened, revealing countless sharp brown teeth, approaching its head.
"GRAAHHHH! ENOUGH! DISAPPEAR!" Catastrophe roared, and considering that [Silence], while it didn't completely silence him, even with the Dragonoid's grip, didn't noticeably reduce his volume, he was speaking very loudly. "[WILD MAGIC: CATASTROPHE DRAGON BLOOD - ORIGIN]" The Dragon Lord roared, its broken armor deforming as a violent explosion sent everyone flying away.
Achernar grunted, his chest aching from the point-blank damage as he crawled on the ground a bit before getting back up.
The fly squealed in a blend of buzzing and baby-like cries as it writhed from the blast, its face nearly shattered by the explosion.
Betelgeuse growled, throwing a scroll into the air, which became a barrier that covered him and Bachelory, and Pride in the process.
The powerful explosion came with a blinding red light, as something gigantic appeared.
This Dragon was gigantic, at least 30 meters tall and almost twice as long.
It possessed six enormous dark wings, each with a violent, reddish appearance on its upperparts, with a claw at the end.
Catastrophe's body was that of a Dark Dragon, with red spots that were actually sharp spikes all over its body except for its chest, thighs, and stomach. What's more, each limb ended in extremely sharp, large, white claws.
Its head was covered in a very hard, dark material, resembling a natural helmet. It had two dark horns, and below them, four more horns protruded from its head, one pair white and the other pair with red spikes. One horn protruded, and from Catastrophe's forehead, between its red eyes, a thin, long, red horn jutted straight up.
Last but not least, its tail was as long as its body, covered in sharp plates that formed a sawtooth effect. A natural weapon so powerful and dangerous that it could cut through mountains.
[Catastrophe Dragon Lord PNG]
"IT'S YOUR TIME TO DIE, INSECTS!" Rasilyk roared in all his splendor, his own voice shaking the earth as a destructive aura surrounded him.
And before anyone could do anything, Catastrophe lashed out at Wrath, who tried to attack him from the side as if he were a real insect.
"I'm going to destroy you now, so don't you even think about begging for mercy!" The Dragon Lord roared, almost making the Supreme Lords' servants laugh.
Bachelory descended to the ground, with Achernar looking at him somewhat doubtfully.
"What are you waiting for then~? If you want to amuse us more with your pathetic attempts to defeat the invincible, we're all spectators~" The Demon said, opening his arms. Although this was more to incite him to use that Wild Magic offensively.
Bachelory… He thought he noticed a pattern… Something strange… Seeing the minimal damage in Achernar, it was worth trying this for the sake of the Supremes, to give them all the knowledge of the universe.
Although suggesting the Supremes didn't know beyond this mere universe was sacrilege, of course~
Oh well~
"Hahahaha~! Come on, oh, Dragon Lord~! Entertain Her Majesty with your antics~" Betelgeuse laughed maniacally, starting to get ready.
Achernar seemed to notice what Bachelory was doing, followed by Betelgeuse… He sighed and smiled beneath his scarf.
"Do you think you're the first to try to beat us? Don't you want to know what happened to the other one… What was his name?" Achernar asked Bachelory, who smiled widely and mockingly.
"Ah~ Was it Darkness or something stupid like that~ The Great Komodo said his roars of pain were very funny-"
However, Bachelory cut off his sentence, instantly teleporting away and avoiding the beam of pure energy that headed his way.
Instead, Pride grunted as the beam pierced his chest, stepping back as the wound was instantly cauterized.
"Hm, we'll have to be more careful." The Demon muttered, seeing the Evil Lord suffer more damage than expected from a common attack.
"Weren't you trying to make him attack you?" The Dragonoid's question came from his side.
"Not with that." He shrugged.
"[Triple Maximize Magic: Hell Typhon]" Betelgeuse chanted, quickly covering the duo of Supremes' servants.
"Haha~ The lizard is writhing~ That makes you more appetizing~" The fly, though it had previously squealed, had a tone of voice that didn't match its appearance or condition, emerging from its ruptured jaws, hurtling at full speed toward the Dragon Lord.
Pride, though directly wounded, stood its ground, leaping powerfully to engage the Dragon more closely. And in the background, Wrath was hurtling back like a meteor, even though its left arm was twisted in the wrong direction.
"Well, I'll explain my theory, but don't get too confident. It seems this is the 'Fainal Feis' the Supreme Lords are always talking about." Hummed 'Crimea'.
…
Tsaindorcus Vaison, the Platinum Dragon Lord, metaphorically bit his claws as he somewhat nervously examined everything.
His companions went off to do what they had to do, so the fronts of Deorum Regnum, the Alliance Army, and Argland should have been covered.
Which left him alone with the responsibility of finding Titania.
Somehow, of course. If the four of them, after days of nonstop searching, couldn't find her, he thought his chances were even worse now… At least if it weren't for the fact that, conveniently, a new sun seemed to have been born somewhere in the Demon Empire while the Dragon Lords were having their scoldings in Platinum.
It was fortunate that Platinum's agents, who weren't exactly numerous, were able to tell him about it, because being underground, it was impossible to even get close enough to see something like that.
But therein lay the question. That was a few hours ago. Who knows how far Titania had gone, someone capable of at least giving her armor a run for its money for a while, over that time? With her speed, she could very well be at the far side of what was the former Re-Estize.
After all, something of that magnitude… As far as Platinum could tell, he didn't think the Black Scripture could survive that. But he'd never actually come into contact with the current members, so he could very well be wrong.
But then again, his only duty right now was to find the Paladin in White, aptly dubbed 'The GYATT' by a certain Dragon Lord.
And that's where Tsaindorcus was, desperately searching left and right through the Remote Viewing Mirror, trying to see something other than cooling magma or the ashen, dusty earth of the Demon Empire…
Who would have thought the most powerful human he'd ever met would be so hard to find…?
Of course, if it weren't for Komodo, he could have asked the well-known last female of the True Dragons, now surely having been turned into an eel dish that would last for generations before being consumed by that damned Demon.
Alternatively, Tsaindorcus had his Wild Magic… But against Komodo, he couldn't risk wasting it before combat. He underestimated her too many times, resulting in three Dragon Lords dying in the process, and several centuries of arduous training for the half-bloods of the Dragons… As well as valuable equipment from the Kings of Greed.
However, a certain glint on the edge of the mirror caught his attention, and he quickly moved the artifact to show its source…
And what he saw through the magic mirror as he looked through the armor in his flying palace in the desert…
"Oh no…" He muttered, quickly activating the table's teleportation system.
…
Black Abyss swung her halberd, delivering a powerful blow with her axe, striking Melgark's side. Since he had lost one of his arms during the battle, the weapon struck directly into his side, plunging the axe into his body and sending him hurtling to the ground, shattering the black sand crystal as it fell.
A beam of light struck Black Abyss's head, bouncing up into the sky. She turned toward Vertok, who fired steadily at her again.
Capable of reflecting any projectile of light and/or divinity, the shots simply bounced off, destroying the ground or disappearing into black clouds.
And it's not as if the artifact was being used to its full power anyway, but even then… To say this was a fight in itself would be a mistake.
This was a beating.
Black Abyss was stronger, faster, more resilient, a better mage even, and more importantly, she was smarter. Even when the two Dragons were meant to fight seriously, it was nothing more than a bit of trouble.
The Angel leaped toward Vertok, who rose into the sky, out of her reach, but suddenly, chains appeared on her feet. The white-haired woman chanted something silently. She fell to the ground, and Vertok was dragged along with her, before being slammed into the ground with monumental force, shattering the crystallized ground like a massive explosion.
"You... Damned... Pieces of shit..." The Paladin cursed under her breath, landing in a lethal swing on the Shooter, splaying her feet and landing on his stomach, causing her full weight to shake the ground as the Dragonoid sank into a large crater created by the force.
Black Abyss was evidently unhappy, by how she wouldn't even give them the relief of death, when she could easily kill them due to the difference in stats, equipment, and overall power.
By this point, it didn't even matter to her that, in the most logical sense, the Children of Tomorrow, the elite unit of the Dragon Lords, and the Black Scripture, the elite unit of the Slane Theocracy, opposing forces at their very core, weren't related in the slightest outside of natural enmity. Therefore, neither Vertok nor Melgark had anything to do with the unfortunate and unexpected loss during the beating the Urielle gave the Black Scripture Captain.
But again, she didn't care. She simply needed something to hit that wouldn't break so quickly, and she was sure she'd only get angrier if she used Seraiah for that.
And of course, there was nothing they could do to stop it. Vertok watched as Black Abyss placed her knees on his shoulders, made a fist, and began to pound his face with that brutal force, sounding like explosions as he sank deeper into the ground, unable to move… Because Black Abyss was simply unable to be moved, no matter what Vertok tried, he couldn't get her off him, couldn't stop her blows.
The wonder of it was that, technically, even doing that counted as a 'Knockback', and therefore a type of physical CC, something Black Abyss was 100% immune to thanks to G.O.D.S.'s efforts.
And even assuming Black Abyss didn't have brutal resistances, physical strength capable of moving mountains with one hand, or a full suit of divine armor that rendered her immune to the aforementioned... Vertok was a Marksman, asking for strength capable of moving a level 100 tank player was too much to ask.
And it wasn't even that the Dragons were holding back. They had an order, to attack her to kill. But even if a fly wanted to kill an elephant, it couldn't with all its efforts.
Melgark appeared from the shadows behind Black Abyss, his knife raised and ready to stab, yet the white-haired woman only had to raise a hand, causing the tip of the weapon to connect with her gauntlet.
Black Abyss, with a twist, struck Melgark's jaw, a clear rupturing sound ringing out from the blow, as he fell to the ground. The Angel stood up, leaving the almost dead Vertok on the ground. She approached Melgark and grabbed him by the chest, only to hug him later, her arms tightening so tightly that he couldn't scream due to the lack of air from the pressure on his chest, which was being destroyed from within.
However...
"Titania, stop." The familiar, serious voice echoed in the silent apocalyptic landscape, causing Black Abyss to freeze as she quickly looked at the source of the voice.
She released Melgark, letting him fall like a rag to the ground, in the same condition as Vertok, looking at Riku Aganeia... Tsaindorcus...
"Well, at least you saved me the trouble of searching for you, traitor." Titania said seriously to the platinum armor.
Riku froze in midair, shrinking back slightly, as if confused by those words.
"Excuse me...?" He muttered, but then looked at the two Children of Tomorrow, understanding dawned… "Wait, Titania. Those two-" He was about to explain the situation, but…
"The Black Scripture! These two, children of the Dragons you serve…! They tried to kill me… Obviously, they didn't succeed as you planned… But they did kill Elise… And I won't forgive you for that… Dragon…" She snarled, her shield appearing in her left hand and her halberd returning to her right.
"What… How…?" Tsaindorcus froze, before being forced to violently back away to avoid a spear of light that whipped wildly toward where he had been a few moments ago. "Wait, Titania! This is a trap!" He yelled, showing a hint of real panic.
"Do you think I don't know?! The trap you and the other Dragons set for me!" Black Abyss's voice suddenly sounded behind him, as she plunged the hook of her halberd into the armor's shoulder.
Platinum felt the impossible force of Titania's weight sending him tumbling down, sending him hurtling to the ground with enormous force, creating a crater as he hit the crystallized ground like a bomb.
"You don't tell me. You wanted to kill Komodo and then me so no one could oppose you, didn't you?" Titania muttered, falling to the ground like a feather.
"Tch, no. That's not the ca-" Tsaindorcus, not at all affected by the impact itself, considering that this was only a puppet, tried to retort, but…
"U-Uncle! Don't hold back! Finish off the traitor!" Vertok roared, struggling to his feet while Melgark struggled to get off the ground.
"You…" The Dragon Lord clicked his tongue again… Damn it, Komodo… Did she really plan all this that hard…?
"So that's the lie you told everyone? That I betrayed you…? You have no idea how much I did to wipe out evil from this world!" Titania snarled, taking up a phalanx position.
"I didn't tell them anything! They were kidnapped-! Tch!" Platinum growled again, interrupted as he grabbed the bastard sword that appeared out of nowhere in his hand, blocking the tip of the Paladin's halberd, but was pushed back.
Black Abyss exerted a little more force, pushing him further, and preparing to deliver a powerful blow with his shield as his bullet-train charge continued unabated, but the armor disappeared.
The Paladin clicked her tongue, moving her shield and blocking the hammer that came from the side, resonating powerfully in a cacophony of metal on metal, with the sheer force of the impact creating cracks behind the immovable Angel.
"... Fine, if you're not going to listen, then I'll have to knock some sense into you." The Dragon Lord snarled, his four weapons hovering at his sides…
"I've listened all my life, through rock, metal, and much time. This time, I will destroy you, then Komodo, and finally see the dawn of a peaceful world." She snapped in an annoyed tone, once again taking her fighting stance, pointing her shield, with her spear atop it, at Platinum.
"… You could live in that peaceful world if you listened to me. This is a trap from Komodo. Those two children were-" The Dragon Lord once again attempted to correct the mistake, only for Titania to swing her halberd, deflecting a shot from Vertok.
"Finish her, uncle! Finish the traitor!" The wounded Dragonoid roared, aiming weakly at the Seraph.
Even so, this had Titania aiming her halberd at him.
"[Light Lightning]!" She exclaimed, a powerful electric shock in the form of lightning, but shining like a powerful sun, headed straight for him, striking and dragging him like a gigantic train, until it exploded at the end, further illuminating the entire area.
Black Abyss raised her shield, blocking a powerful spear that flew towards her, before raising the shield over her head, blocking a massive sword that fell directly towards her, facing Riku.
"[Cloak of Light] [Draconic Inheritance] [Platinum Duty]!" The Platinum Dragon Lord chanted, covering himself in a few auras as he clenched his fists as he watched the Paladin mistreat the Half-Dragon.
However, he wasn't really going to do anything about it other than continue his attempt to placate the Paladin the best way a Dragon knew how. Through violence. "I'm not going to kill you, Titania. But I will calm you down the hard way." Tsaindorcus threatened, his weapons returning to his side and floating gently around him as if orbiting him. "This is exactly what Komodo wants, for us to fight each other, to separate. We must not fall for her diabolical plans."
"What Komodo wants is me." Titania exclaimed, walking toward Platinum, who stared at her. "Well, I have something none of you have, a pure soul. And that is precisely why only I can defeat her. I am the greatest weapon against her, and only I can kill her. That is why she resorted to bribing you. Your Dragon children… That is why she also bribed the Theocracy, thus killing my partner… My friend… Elise…" She said, growing even more annoyed.
Platinum looked at the ground, which began to turn red, but the light emanating from Titania caught his attention even more.
"She didn't bribe us in any way, Titania." The Dragon Lord denied, keeping a safe distance from the Angel as he grabbed the katana among his weapons.
"OH NO~? AND I THOUGHT YOU WANTED MY PRIZED TREASURE IN ONE PIECE~ HAHA~" Platinum froze, breaking into a cold sweat, metaphorically, of course, as he heard the disturbing, deep, raspy voice, like rocks scraping against each other with ground meat in between.
Tsaindorcus shifted his armor to face the voice, seeing his worst nightmare of recent years.
"... Komodo…" He hissed.
"Kitt-ahem, Komodo." Black Abyss also growled after correcting herself for some reason.
The black, demonic monster indifferently stepped on Melgark's back, causing him to gasp as the air was lost in his lungs, before the dark, bipedal abomination spread its leathery wings, flapping them intensely and rising into the sky as a terrifyingly imposing reddish aura surrounded it.
"MM~? WHAT'S UP, YOU LITTLE RATS~!? DID YOU MISS ME~!? HAHAHAHAHA~!" Komodo laughed terrifyingly, breathing out flames and embers as she spoke.
Her piercing, murky gaze seemed to pierce Tsaindorcus's soul, even when he wasn't physically present…
"I can't say I'm surprised to see you two together." Titania exclaimed with a grimace. "But you'll have to wait, Komodo. I'll kill your minion first, and then I'll finish you off, all by myself." The Paladin stated, her golden eyes glowing as she was lightly surrounded by fire.
"Tch! Titania, this isn't the time for that! We must finish Komodo off!" Tsaindorcus began to feel, for the first time in a long time, complete panic.
No, not now. The stars couldn't all align with the sole intention of ruining Tsaindorcus's greatest attempt at finishing that thing off!
"OH~? IT HURTS ME TO HEAR THAT FROM YOU, WHITE RAT~! AND I THOUGHT WE LOVED EACH OTHER SO MUCH~! HAHAHAHAHAHA~! BUT I REFUSE~!" The Demon Empress hummed, suddenly opening her murky, pitch-black maw, and an instant later, spewing an ocean of fire toward the two of them, heedless of allies or foes.
Still, the fire was blown away by the explosion that emanated from Black Abyss, with flames so strong they pushed both Komodo and Riku away.
The fire gathered into a massive pillar that rose to the sky, while a silhouette emerged from the ground into the sky, with the Paladin now possessing a crown of flames, as well as four fiery, angelic wings, covered in flames as the pillar disappeared, leaving the entire place covered in fire and lava.
Komodo smiled at how beautiful Black Abyss looked. Although in that form, she went from a completely defensive form with minimal damage to being as defensive as she was offensive, gaining huge offensive buffs and new abilities, such as flight without [Fly].
Ah~ In Yggdrasil, this would never look so majestic.
No, Dont-Say-My-Name pushed away the distracting thoughts. It didn't matter if she was alongside Black Abyss or with Superbia, Gandolfo, Fafnir, and Eyesight as support. She was currently in one of her weakest forms, considering she couldn't use equipment and didn't have a specialized build to enhance her attack or physical defense, all against a level 100 being who likely had access to mysterious magic.
She couldn't be complacent.
"AH~ I SEE YOU'VE AWAKENED THE FULL POWER OF YOUR SOUL, WHITE RAT~ I MUST ADMIT, YOU COULD KILL ME IF YOU FIGHTED ME LIKE THAT~ BUT TOO BAD, I'M NOT ALONE~" Dont said, looking at Riku with a mocking smile and an inhuman smile made of grotesque teeth and black gums.
"Tch! Stop talking nonsense! Titania, it's now or never!" Tsaindorcus spat, forcing himself to ignore the two Children of Tomorrow's reassurances, as they were insignificant distractions compared to the seriousness he was facing.
"HAHAHAHAHA~! IT HURTS ME THAT ONE OF MY FEW ALLIES TALKS SO BADLY ABOUT ME~!" Komodo burst out laughing, before suddenly stopping. "[HABORYM]" She chanted, her body suddenly covered in violent flames, like fiery armor.
"If you're not going to attack, then I'll start." Titania said seriously, her halberd and shield disappearing, clasping her hands in front of her.
"Tch. Damn it." The Dragon Lord cursed his luck once more. "[Vanish of Evil]" He chanted, coating his weapons in a gleaming white.
This wasn't going according to plan. Not according to any plan. Tsaindorcus, for perhaps the second or third time in his long life, let out one of the insults he heard one of the Kings of Greed use so long ago. Something so profane and cursed that even he hesitated to say it. But the situation warranted it.
"Fucking mother." He spat.
