Chapter 10 - Slo-Mlo Golem

Nitish approached the grey wolf's corpse and bent down to inspect the drops.

Loot Obtained:

Grey Wolf Skin

Grey Wolf Fangs

Common Hide Gloves

Wolf Meat

He collected everything quickly, equipping the gloves on the spot.

[Equipped: Hide Gloves (Level 4)]Rank: CommonDefense: +5Durability: 15/15

"A little extra defense never hurts," Nitish muttered, flexing his fingers in the newly fitted gloves.

Without wasting time, he resumed his sprint toward the towering mountains. Though the path was quiet, he remained alert — killing a wolf could easily attract its pack.

Eventually, he reached the mountain's base — where a near-vertical climb stared him in the face.

"Well, that's not friendly," he said, glancing upward at the sheer incline. He knew this climb required a base agility of 15 to scale without assistance — something only Level 3 or 4 players could manage.

But Nitish had a trick up his sleeve.

"Activate: Nimble Agility!"

With his Swift Ring's boost, he launched into the ascent. The ring's speed-enhancing effects helped him cling to narrow ledges and leap between jagged handholds. Still, the climb was grueling.

After five minutes of scaling and carefully timing his ring's cooldowns, he paused to rest on a rocky ledge.

That's when he felt it.

The ground trembled.

"What the—?"

Suddenly, a massive fist erupted from beneath the surface—

BAMMMM!!!

Nitish was sent flying, crashing hard against a boulder.

"Owww... seriously? Couldn't you wait another five minutes!?"

From the ground emerged a colossal creature — ten meters tall, body made of boulders, and fists the size of boulders.

[Enemy Detected: Rock Golem (Level 8)]HP: 1000/1000Passive: Health Regen (50 HP every 3 seconds)

Nitish stood, cracked his neck, and grinned.

"So... you're the reason I climbed all the way up here."

He dashed in with a surprise slash—

-10 HP

"Wait… that's it?"

Nitish frowned. Even using Chop, he could barely scratch the monster. His normal attacks barely dealt 5 damage, and Swift Slashes topped out at 20 per hit. Meanwhile, this thing regenerated 50 HP every few seconds.

"Alright, brute strength's not gonna work. Time to outsmart you."

He reached into his bag and pulled out a Slowing Bomb, hurling it directly at the golem's chest.

BOOM!

A dull pulse of magic washed over the golem. Its arms, already sluggish, now moved like molasses.

"Now we're talkin'!" Nitish smirked.

The next few minutes were a rhythmic dance: dodge, slash, dodge, slash, weaving just outside the range of the golem's now-sluggish attacks.

Though the damage output was low, the golem could barely land a hit.He activated Swift Slashes every cooldown cycle, wearing the monster down bit by bit.

-10 HP, -5 HP, -5 HP, -20 HP, -20 HP…

This cycle continued for nearly 30 minutes.

Finally—

GRAAAARRRGGHHHH!

The golem let out a final, shattering cry and collapsed into rubble.

✅ Rock Golem (Level 8) killed!🎉 +850 EXP gained!

Nitish, panting and sweaty, grinned through the fatigue.

"Now that's what I call grinding."

He bent to check the loot.

Loot Obtained:

Black Stone (×1)

Hardstone Chestplate (Common Rank)

Rocks (×3)

"Not bad... that Black Stone will come in handy for crafting."

With little time to spare, Nitish activated his ring again and resumed climbing — ascending higher toward his goal.

But just as he crossed a rocky ridge—

BOOM!

Two more Rock Golems emerged, fists swinging toward him from both sides.

Nitish acted instantly — another Slowing Bomb flew from his hand.

BOOM!Both golems staggered, their movements slowing drastically.

What followed was déjà vu — a long, exhausting, and tactical battle.

✅ Rock Golem (Level 8) killed!🎉 +800 EXP gained!✅ Rock Golem (Level 8) killed!🎉 +800 EXP gained!

🔔 Congratulations! You have leveled up!You have gained 2 Attribute Points.

Nitish's eyes lit up as the notifications appeared on his screen. A satisfied smile spread across his face.

Without a second thought, he allocated both of his newly earned attribute points into Agility again. He was eagerly working toward unlocking his first body skill—Fast as Feather.

Once done, he immediately resumed his climb up the mountain.

Meanwhile, in Pink Blossom Town...

Mayor Ranos sat sternly in his office, waiting as his guards returned with a report.

"Sir… we couldn't find that boy anywhere," one of the guards stammered nervously. "We've searched the entire town."

The mayor narrowed his eyes, his expression unreadable.

"Search the neighboring towns as well," he commanded coldly. "I want that boy found."

"Don't worry, sir! We'll avenge your son—"

BANG!

"YOU FOOL!!" the mayor roared, slamming his fist onto the table as his eyes flared with rage. "Don't ever call that dead monster my son in front of anyone again! I don't want that boy for revenge... I need him for something far more important."

The guard saluted, terrified, and quickly backed away.

Back in the Pink Forest Mountains...

Four hours had passed since Nitish began his climb, and in that time, he had already used up four of his slowing bombs and taken down nine rock golems.

As the ninth golem crumbled beneath his blade, another notification popped up.

You have leveled up!

Nitish was now Level 3, and just like before, he immediately poured both attribute points into Agility—and finally, it happened.

[Body Skill Unlocked: Fast as Feather]

"Now I can scale this mountain even without using my ring," he said, grinning to himself.

For a typical player, unlocking their first body skill usually didn't happen before Level 5, since most distributed their attribute points across various stats. But Nitish had focused everything into speed—and now, that effort was paying off.

He began scaling the mountain even faster now. You might be wondering—how tall is this mountain exactly? Well, it wasn't your average climb. This towering behemoth stretched several kilometers high.

As Nitish continued upward, something strange suddenly made him stop in his tracks.

"Something's... off," he muttered.

His breathing grew heavier. A suffocating pressure pressed against his chest, making it difficult to inhale.

That's when his eyes landed on it—a dark cave, barely visible ahead.

"Is this feeling... coming from that cave?"

Nitish's instincts screamed caution, but curiosity urged him forward. Slowly, carefully, he stepped toward the cave and peered inside.

And what he saw inside made his eyes widen in shock.

A Golem—but not like any he had seen before.

This one was at least twice the size of a normal golem. Its entire body wasn't made of ordinary rock... but of Black Stone.

Black Stones...!!!

Nitish stood frozen, his heart pounding.

Something dangerous... something unnatural was sleeping inside that cave.

"Damn… hurting this thing seems nearly impossible," Nitish thought, feeling a chill run down his spine.

The golem standing before him wasn't just massive—it was terrifying. But what made it worse was the enormous stone club it held in its hand. Nitish knew that a single hit from that weapon would be more than enough to end him instantly.

He stood frozen for a moment, overwhelmed with confusion. What should he do? Should he fight it… or quietly leave the cave before it notices him?

Nitish quickly accessed the golem's stats, something every player could do in Celestial Domain.

[Cave Golem – ELITE] (Level 9)HP – 4000 / 4000

As soon as he read the information, Nitish's body shivered—but not from fear. This time, it was pure excitement.

"An ELITE! An actual ELITE!" Nitish whispered, wide-eyed, as adrenaline surged through him.

In Celestial Domain, monsters had special classifications—and one of them was Elite. These monsters were drastically stronger than regular ones of the same level. A single Elite could wipe out entire squads of players. It wasn't something anyone took lightly.

So why wasn't Nitish backing away? Why was he excited?

Because Elites had something that every player craved: legendary loot.

Nitish knew, with absolute certainty, that no one in the game had killed an Elite monster yet. If he could pull this off… if he could kill the first Elite ever discovered…

He stared into the cave, standing in silence for a few seconds. Then, without hesitation, he stepped inside.

Yes. He was doing it.

The moment Nitish entered, the golem's glowing eyes lit up, and it let out a thunderous roar that echoed through the cavern.

"AARRRGHHHHH!!!"

The Cave Golem charged forward like a mountain in motion.

FOOOOSH!

"Shit! This thing's fast!" Nitish gasped, stunned. This golem wasn't like the others—it was even faster than the wolf he had fought earlier!

BAMMM!!!

The ground trembled violently as the golem slammed its club down. The entire cave shook as rocks fell from above.

Nitish managed to slide back just in time, dodging the hit—but his heart was pounding out of his chest. That one strike would've killed him on the spot.

He countered with a slash of his sword.

SLASH! –2 HP

"What!? Only 2 damage?" Nitish nearly cried. His attacks barely even scratched the surface of this monster.

The golem swung again, and Nitish barely avoided the blow. He quickly reached into his bag and pulled out a slowing bomb.

BOOM! The magical explosion erupted, and Nitish exhaled in relief as he saw the golem's movements slow noticeably.

He seized the opportunity.

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!–4 HP, –4 HP, –4 HP

Even his skill Swift Slashes was barely doing any damage, but it was better than nothing.

Nitish kept attacking, dancing between the golem's sluggish strikes. Dodge. Strike. Dodge. Strike. Bit by bit, he was whittling down the beast's health.

Soon, the golem's HP dropped to 80%.

And then, the slowing effect wore off.

AARRRGHHHH!!

The golem roared with renewed fury, its speed suddenly doubling. It lunged at Nitish with terrifying force.

But Nitish dodged again—barely.

Even the golem seemed confused. Despite regaining its speed, it still couldn't land a hit.

"Oh? What's wrong?" Nitish smirked. "You thought I wouldn't adapt to your fighting style? I've already figured out your rhythm."

He was growing more confident now. This wasn't just blind luck—he was genuinely reading the golem's movements, reacting instinctively.

Little by little, the tide was turning.

Notification: +100 Proficiency in Chop Skill

Nitish grinned as the messages appeared one after another on his screen.

Chop reached Level 1...Chop reached Level 2...Chop reached Level 3...Chop reached Level 4...Chop (Melee Skill) — Level 5: Cooldown – 5 secondsSkill Info: Deal 70% more damage

Now bursting with excitement, Nitish launched into another wave of attacks against the Elite Golem.

He kept fighting relentlessly, and after what felt like ages, he finally managed to push the golem's HP down to 50%.

Suddenly—

AARRRGHHHH!!

The golem let out a monstrous roar as its body began to glow faintly. Its size shrank slightly, and the rocky surface of its body shimmered ominously. Then, without warning, it tossed its massive club to the side and pulled out a jagged Rock Blade strapped to its waist.

Nitish's eyes widened in shock.

"Oh no… this is—!"

BOOOOMMMMM!!!!

Before he could even finish his sentence, the golem lunged and slashed him with its blade.

Nitish's body was torn apart in a single devastating blow—completely annihilated.

What just happened?

Well, in Celestial Domain, certain monsters—especially Elites—entered a special combat state upon taking significant damage. That state was called RAGE MODE.

In Rage Mode, a monster's power spiked dramatically—attack damage, defense, and even unique skills could change drastically.

Notification: 0 HP – Smight has been killed

As Nitish's body dissolved into the air, the golem let out a low grunt of satisfaction, a wicked smile etched across its stone-carved face. It turned and began walking back deeper into the cave, confident that the human threat was now permanently eliminated.

But just then—

SWOOOSH!SLASHHHH!!

A glowing sword sliced across the golem's back.

RAAAARGHHH!!

The Elite shrieked in shock as it stumbled forward.

A familiar voice echoed through the cave.

"What's wrong? Surprised to see me?" Nitish grinned like a devil, his eyes burning with excitement. The golem turned, stunned to see the same player it had just killed.

"You may have taken me down... but escaping from me? That's impossible."

The battle had resumed.

So how was Nitish still alive?

The answer lay in a rare item—Respawn Stone. In Celestial Domain, this item couldn't be crafted or bought in any store. The only way to get one… was through monster drops. And the chance of that drop? Just 0.01%.

Nitish had miraculously acquired one after slaying his 7th Rock Golem earlier.

Before entering the cave, he had wisely activated the Respawn Stone at the cave's entrance. So when he died, he had immediately respawned at that location.

Now, face-to-face with the golem once again, the Elite erupted with fury and charged at him.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The ground shook as the golem launched a flurry of relentless attacks, swinging its Rock Blade like a wrecking machine.

Nitish was dodging left and right, weaving between the attacks, slipping just out of reach—and striking back in return.

–5 HP, –5 HP, –5 HP, –1 HP, –9 HP

Seeing the damage numbers pop up, Nitish felt a rush of satisfaction.

Even though dying had reduced his level by one, he realized something critical—the golem's defense had dropped massively in Rage Mode. That explained why his attacks were now hitting harder.

"Heh... just a bit more now," Nitish muttered, charging in for another strike.

BOOM! SWOOSH! CLANK!!

The golem roared and swung violently. Nitish blocked the attack with his sword, but the impact sent him skidding back several meters. He barely held himself upright—but the fire in his eyes didn't fade.

He steadied his stance and lunged forward again.

And after nearly an hour of grueling back-and-forth battle—

CHOP!!!

Nitish's final, empowered slash ripped across the golem's chest.

AAAAAARRRGGHHHHHHHHHH!!

The black stone giant let out a deafening scream as its massive body cracked apart and finally crumbled into rubble.

Notification: Black Golem [Elite] has been killed.Congratulations! You have slain the FIRST Elite in Celestial Domain!EXP gained ×2 | Loot gained ×2+8000 EXPYou have leveled up to Level 3!

"WHAAATTTTT?!" Nitish's heart was racing—he felt like a literal engine of joy.

As the loot began dropping from the golem's shattered corpse, Nitish's eyes sparkled with excitement.

He sprinted forward without hesitation.

He had reclaimed his lost level. And now—now it was time to claim the real prize: the Elite Loot.
