Hearing Wade's words, Walton instantly felt his consciousness begin to blur. Following that, his head started to ache. Before Walton could understand what was happening, his head exploded like a smashed watermelon.
With a splattering sound, red and white matter scattered everywhere, and Walton's body fell to the ground.
"So, his phone is in your hands?" The Martian Manhunter turned to Wade and asked.
"His phone has been destroyed by me on two levels. Don't mess with me, or if you see something you shouldn't, you'll go crazy..." Wade said, feeling uncomfortable under the Martian Manhunter's gaze. Although Wade wasn't overly concerned about his memories being read, it was best to avoid such occurrences. If the Martian Manhunter went crazy, it would be a serious problem.
Even though Wade's abilities made him nearly impossible to kill, a powerful being like the Martian Manhunter going insane would be extremely destructive, both physically and mentally. If the Martian Manhunter unleashed his full mental power and started destroying all life, there would be few survivors on Earth.
"Something I shouldn't see?" The Martian Manhunter frowned at Wade's words, feeling an impulse to probe Wade's mind. In his perception, Wade's power wasn't significant enough to pose a threat.
However, just as the Martian Manhunter was about to try, a sense of crisis surged in his heart. This feeling was even more intense than when he was previously warned. The sense of crisis made the Martian Manhunter quickly abandon the idea of exploring Wade's consciousness. As soon as he gave up, the crisis feeling vanished, confirming he hadn't been mistaken.
"This guy is really mysterious..." The Martian Manhunter thought as he looked deeply at Wade before disappearing.
"Hey, you just left? What about me?" Wade was left bewildered as he looked at the sky. "At least let me check on Little Peter! And what about our follow-up cooperation?"
"Talk to Tony Stark. I'm not taking you back..." The Martian Manhunter found Wade dangerous and instinctively wanted to minimize contact. He left a message and did not reappear.
"Wow, a mind master being so cautious? If that bald mind master from the other world had been this careful, he wouldn't have gone crazy..." Wade muttered to himself, touching his masked chin and commenting to the air.
"Speaking of which, there really aren't many people left on the bat's side, right? I remember the Flash is with the Avengers, and Superman is cooperating with them. Who else is there? Is Aquaman in this world? Cyborg hasn't been born yet... Oh, right, there's the Amazonian goddess..."
"Hmm? That big green guy didn't join the Avengers, replaced by the Martian Manhunter? Are green-themed heroes so crucial? Should I dye myself green too? No, that would make me look like my cousin Hal. I promised not to impersonate him again..."
"Anyway, let's think about how to avenge Little Peter and make some money from Stark. Of course, he has to pay upfront!"
Soon, Tony Stark received a message from Wade. Initially, Tony wasn't keen on further cooperation with Wade, but upon learning that Wade had resolved Peter Parker's video issue, he reconsidered. It wasn't a bad idea to pay Wade more to handle other tasks, like the dark supernatural world's bounty problem.
Tony quickly transferred more money, setting Wade back into action. Wade's unorthodox contacts helped him find numerous supernatural individuals intending to target the Avengers, convincing them to work together for greater bounty rewards.
"How many did you say?!" Tony Stark was stunned when he heard Wade's report. Wade had found nearly a hundred supernatural beings aiming for the Avengers in such a short time.
Tony prided himself on his knowledge and experience but never thought there were over a hundred pure supernatural individuals. Now, learning there were so many targeting the Avengers was shocking.
But Wade wasn't exaggerating. The supernatural world was indeed more populated than Tony imagined. The high bounties offered by vampires and werewolves attracted many supernatural beings. Plus, the Avengers' wide influence naturally drew enemies from various places, making nearly a hundred a conservative estimate.
"Ninety-one in total, including me, ninety-two. Don't back out now. I'll gather them at a secret location, and you take them all out. This should deter others from accepting bounties, allowing you to focus on the vampires and werewolves..." Wade counted the numbers and explained.
"Alright, I got it!" Tony Stark took a deep breath and transferred more money to Wade, ensuring he was motivated. Tony then contacted Robert and Kara.
With nearly a hundred supernatural individuals, Tony couldn't rely solely on their team, given their unknown abilities and strengths. They needed extra help to ensure they could defeat them all.
The Martian Manhunter had proven his strength against the vampire archduke and Marcus, but his weaknesses were well-known within the Avengers. A single fire user could render the Martian Manhunter powerless. If any of these supernatural beings could control or use fire, the Martian Manhunter would be out of commission, making victory uncertain despite their technology and robots. These supernatural beings didn't have the same fatal weaknesses as vampires and werewolves.
"Nearly a hundred supernatural beings?" Robert was surprised when Tony contacted him. After dealing with Alexander, Robert had returned to his training and research on moonlight power, missing the vampire and werewolf public relations battle.
Robert assumed the Avengers had mostly dealt with the vampires and werewolves, but Tony's sudden plea for help was unexpected, especially against unrelated supernatural beings.
After Tony explained, Robert quickly understood and headed to the Avengers' base. By then, Peter Parker's injuries had significantly healed, though he wasn't fully recovered.
"So, you can't always rely on your spider sense. There are too many strange abilities in this world, and your spider sense isn't infallible..." Robert shook his head at the pale Peter Parker, using healing magic to aid his recovery.
With another battle imminent, Peter couldn't stay sidelined. He also needed to help deal with the vampires and werewolves, so he didn't want to stay bedridden.
"I understand. I'll be more careful from now on," Peter said, scratching his head awkwardly. "Who would've thought an old lady would try to kill me?"
It wasn't entirely Peter's fault. His enemies were crafty, and after encountering numerous supernatural beings detected by his spider sense, he had naturally lowered his guard.
Soon, the Avengers reassembled. Even Steve and Bucky Barnes joined, having concluded their official debates. They needed to quickly familiarize themselves with fighting vampires and werewolves to avoid being caught off guard by future dark dimension invasions.
"We've pinpointed Wade's location. For security reasons, I won't contact him, nor will the Martian Manhunter..." Tony Stark addressed the Avengers.
"To prevent Wade from being exposed, we'll attack the supernatural beings and Wade together. Wade said he'll play dead during the fight. After we 'kill' him, don't interact with him until everyone else is dead, ensuring his cover remains intact for future undercover work..."
"Whoosh!"
"Whoosh!"
"Whoosh!"
As Tony finished, bright eyes turned to him. The most excited were Peter Parker, Johnny Storm, Pietro, and Harry Osborn.
Yes, Harry Osborn was also involved in this mission. Despite not being fully exposed, Tony wanted him to get used to combat and dealing with vampires and werewolves due to the potential widespread impact of future dark dimension invasions.
Harry, relying on technology, only needed minor equipment modifications. His physical enhancements couldn't match Peter Parker's, so like Steve, he used equipment in battle.
The excitement was clear: they finally had a legitimate reason to beat Wade, and this time he couldn't talk back, giving them a rare chance to silence him.
"Remember, Wade said you don't have to hold back. Just go all out!" Tony's lips twitched at their excitement, but his eyes twinkled with amusement. If his suits provided a more tactile punching experience, Tony would've liked to join in.
"Still so young!" Robert smiled wryly at their behavior. He knew Wade's thick-skinned nature and suspected that beating Wade might not be a punishment for him. In fact, it might even make him cling to the Avengers more.
Meanwhile, Wade led nearly a hundred supernatural beings to a desolate area, surrounded by barren land, causing many to frown.
"Deadpool, are you sure the Avengers will come here?" One supernatural individual soon questioned.
"Not sure, positive! I got word that someone being chased by the Avengers fled here. They couldn't escape in the city and had to run to the wilderness. If you don't believe it, you can leave. I won't force you..." Wade shrugged indifferently.
"Tony Stark and Quicksilver are chasing them. If we capture them, we'll get substantial rewards from the vampires and Stark's own wealth will be a huge bonus!"
"Anyone who doubts can leave now. There'll be less to share. But once the fight starts, anyone wanting to leave will be dealt with by us!"
"There! I see them!" One supernatural individual spotted a figure running, followed by Tony Stark's suit and a blur. The sight excited the group, not noticing the invisible force surrounding them.
"Charge!" Wade shouted, leading the charge towards Pietro. The supernatural beings followed, unaware that the initial figure had disappeared...
