Fu zhou and Lin Zhen likes to watch plays so they would travel all around to watch plays.They are fond of romantic and supernatural plays.
They have made many friends during their time of travel .Their friends circle increases gradually because they travel to different regions and have seen the various cultural and regional flock tales in form of plays.
Lin Zhen and Fu Zhou went to interior region named "Timu" there they have a unique tradition of naming the child by placing the child in river.The child is kept in the floating basket where the hook is connected with a thread.
The thread is held by the person who is standing in the river bed.
Its a belief that when the new born is placed in the water and named ,the river would give their blessings and prevent the child from getting affected by infection and prosperous life.
The child is left in the basket for a day in the river it is done to make the child adapt to life's various up's and down's. Then the child is taken to the priest and bless them longevity.
The new born is given syrup made with various herbs found in their area,which has great healing effect for stomach issues and purifying the blood. The lotus is considered holy, the child should drink the lotus root soup for three days.
The naming ceremony is a three day function which ends with the head priest giving a nose pin for a girl child and ear pin for boy.
