Lifting her head from the cushions she shoved herself in - she quickly noticed something rather strange about those that had previously been watching. Rather they hadn't heard any of the usual murmurings when her people didn't hide their presence. Looking around revealed why that was the case.
They moved around as if the group wasn't even present.
Their eyes weren't glazed over and there were no signs of illusions however the demon was certain that they simply weren't seeing them.
Even her own people seemed to abruptly become distracted.
At that her eyes widened as she remembered a person able to perform such a feat.
Suddenly the instincts of the villainous demoness cried out as she pushed the maid aside, leading to her falling to the floor in shock, only to whirl around with a kick. Her foot landed between the two prongs of a bident that was previously lunging towards her back. Clearly desiring to rip out her heart.
She wasn't even given time to take in the dress of the one who suddenly charged at her; having to step aside while leaning backward as a massive executioner's sword swept over her. Of course such an attack didn't intimidate her. Not caring about the strange stone weapon since she was already used to it.
Yet the one responsible seemed to be happy enough with the result as they used it as an opportunity to disengage as expertly as they had initially approached.
A flowing white woollen cloak billowed in the wind as she met the predatory bi-coloured eyes that poorly hid behind the literal mask of a sheep. Now she was standing back where she initially stood while the wolf-like bastard stood in front of the two siblings. Throwing that massive sword upon his shoulders.
Behind his actions was a slight whirring of metal and hissing of crimson steam as it escaped from under the cloak that hid most of his form. What it didn't hide was his metal clad arm that held the bloody gause of that oversized blade. His hands more akin to an opposable-able claw than that of a human hand.
Those two deep blue eyes, one dipping into the threshold of being purpose, narrowed as they sparked up like flames in a smug fashion that made one want to punch him.
"Give me the k-"
"Don' wanna~♪" Instantly cutting her off before she could even begin to negotiate with the bastard; not that she was particularly surprised. She already knew he was difficult and instead made things even more difficult for him in return. If anything the chance to take revenge brought a savage grin to her face.
Slowly she stepped forward with her fists barely being lifted from her sides, nevertheless clenched into a pair of fists. In return he waited patiently until she was in range… Or at least that's how it seemed he was going to play it until he abruptly lurched forward while slamming his sword downwards.
Unfortunately he didn't get to see his ideal scenario of her being chopped in half as she stepped aside without a change in expression. Almost having seemingly not noticed her own movement due to how effortless it appeared. She also made sure to step on the side opposite to the bident as she charged up.
Not wasting the chance as she moved to deliver a punch where his kidney should have been only to be instead met with empty air.
The wolf quickly stepped aside while pivoting - bringing that massive blade flying towards her side while she remained as unbothered as before. Throwing the back of her other knuckle out to impact the blade thus stopping it in place. Next lifting a foot before launching into a full blown sparta kick.
Without commitment to his weapon he let go of the massive blade in order to step out the range of her leg,
He didn't leave without giving her another gift, though.
Flicking his wrist as a collection of three throwing knives found their way between his fingers; with another flick he sent them sailing towards her head and shoulders. With a growl at how tricky he was being she had no choice except to step back so that she had enough time to react. Backhanding them out the air.
"You've gotten better lil' sis; big bro is so proud of you~♪" His growling voice exclaimed in a surprising melodic fashion as intimidating as his massive beastly form was. Strangely the demoness didn't take his encouragement particularly well as she started to growl while pacing like a beast preparing to strike.
Both of the beastly figures glaring at each other as the demonic energy around the girl began to rise as she started ringing the bells on her wrist.
Until he cut her off with another comment. "Sure you want to get real destructive; we both know big sis is in this city and I'll also spoil you a bit… She isn't the only one on our level here. If we start throwing around big flashy moves, even if we hold back, we'll raze her little city to the ground~♪"
This annoyed her even more however she also couldn't say he was wrong - they were beings who could destroy entire realms if they went all out. Destroying a city was possible with just a little bit of exertion from either one of them. They wouldn't even need any techniques as just raw pressure alone would do.
Quickly reeling her aura back in with that fake sheep taking advantage of this moment, charging forward once more while whipping his now free hand forward, bident on his shoulder.
Obviously she easily dodged such a telegraphed attack by just tilting her head while a palm came out to strike him right in his abdomen. That sent him skidding back with the impact causing his cloak to flow backwards. Revealing that he now actually held a semi-auto pistol within his grasp.
She didn't question why or how as it was soon answered as he realigned it towards her forehead with his clawed finger already on the trigger. Pulling it just as she pushed it aside with a hand. An easy motion that caused it to repeatedly fire beside her slightly pointed ear rather than in her skull.
*BANG* BANG* BANG* BANG*
But that loud explosion of stimulation caused her eyes to lose some focus with him not being honourable enough to give her a second to recover. Else he wouldn't have taken advantage of it in the first place. That mind of hers was confusing at times yet it still could be manipulated.
Raising his foot as he returned the kick from earlier except he ended up hitting; her body still moved on instinct alone to block it. However she still skidded back with him jumping back in return. Landing right next to the two "kids" who were previously knocked out by the demoness & her waifu maid.
Letting go of the bident as he picked up the boy just as the demoness recovered from her mental lapse.
Growling out as she purposefully cracked her neck while slowly walking forward once more - this time she froze before she could get in range. That wolf was actually daring to aim his gun forward. However he didn't aim at her but the pregnant maid who was next to her.
"Would be a shame to lose a potential niece or nephew but it's a sacrifice we're willing to make… And we both know one of those statements is a lie jehehehihihi~♪" Even with his mouth covered anyone could imagine the wolf like smile on his face as he suddenly shot next to the girl. "Care to guess which~?"
If the demoness was getting annoyed before…
She was now giddy.
Her gaze shifted toward the inner city as a toothy grin formed on her face, without any more arguments she flicked her wrist, all those she brought suddenly moving. Their movements unnatural as if being dragged by strings inside their very bodies. Eerily following as she walked out the city again.
It left the wolf confused but he also wasn't like her who lost herself in the fight; he remembered what his mission was so didn't give chase.
"... Hello?" It was at that moment when he realised how suspicious it looked.
Being stood in an opening with nothing except for her unconscious siblings and pavement that had clearly been shattered in a short but intense battle. Only getting worse when it was the sound of fighting. One didn't need to have a genius level intellect to figure out what was running through her head right now.
Clearly she recognised him when he had that small accidental run in while covering her tracks yet this was steadily getting more awkward.
He was the "end" not the fucking conversationalist.
Usually when he is being accused of doing something bad it's because he actually did it; this is a surprisingly new scenario for him!
"Err, well it seems everything is under control here, constable!" Not hesitating to begin running away as he erupted into navy flames to escape as quickly as inhumanely possible. A few more bullets shot at him as he quickly escaped through his unique form of transportation.
Sighing out as the thick familiar stench of sulphur & molten metal filled his nostrils; letting out a sigh at the fact he did a good job… Until he looked to his side to see the unconscious boy still being carried like a sack of potatoes. "Guess being easily distracted runs in the family?"
Letting out a sigh as he unceremoniously dropped the boy while moving to sit on his throne of weapons from those he hunted down. "Guess being the hero is harder than you made it look?" Looking towards a golden lion-adorned tower shield, taller than even he was, that just sat in a glass case in front of him.
"... Not that I'm actually trying?" Shrugging his shoulders without much actual care since things were still taking an interesting enough route for him.
