"I'm not a whizz when it comes to the whole "scientific" technology thing as I'm more a goddess of magic yet that also means I know my way around some runes. Plus I also made one of my swords myself!" My teacher quipped as I looked through the diagnostics while comparing them to the numbers from yesterday.
To say they were good was a flat understatement.
Before the power system used was a fairly bog standard affair to make sure that all the parts were at where I needed them to be. As such it was just hooked to an external supply so that I could easily test various ranges and make sure the arcane infused transformer. It was a very important task.
Afterall I didn't want them to suddenly blow when, for example, my armour somehow failed which led to some of the internals being exposed. Then a lightning spell causes the entire thing to short circuit leaving me in the lurch. That could almost be called the best case failure state.
Then there was also the fact I was trying to deal with a whole new fundamental force - one that apparently controlled probability according to her teachings. Fortunately that same master was willing to help me with my project. Without her Project Sigrfied could hardly commence this far in a mere week.
Even I had to admit I wasn't that good.
Still it was the day where it would be proven whether we had succeeded or found ourselves delayed due to over estimating our capabilities.
Personally I doubted it could be the latter.

How right she was.
Part of me was stuck admiring the heights that this suit was wearing; the best part about it was that it still technically relied on the user. Essentially meaning that it was strictly to enhance strength rather than the suit strictly doing the heavy lifting. Opposite of other Exosuits that were common in the market.
For example many warehouses took advantage of them as it allowed them to essentially pick any random joe off the street and they can lift the stock. In fact, if the suits were small enough, you could even have a literal child. Something that was actually quite common in America when it came to after hour cleaning.
Although I could hardly blame them since it was no better in the east.
In a way Germany was uniquely able to prevent children from taking such dangerous tasks due to having such a wide area under our control. Giving us more resources and a stronger economy than we knew what to do with. All that was besides the point.
What mattered was what was commonly expected of an exosuit; that being the suit being the one that exerts all the effort rather than sharing the burden. Even my own paramilitary mostly used the standard or a hybrid that did most of the work. The latter being for the best that I had.
This one was purely made to enhance what was already there - focusing more on enhancing what I felt like I most lacked when it came to this human form. Moveability. The reasoning should be pretty obvious however just to summarise; the human body was very inefficient at keeping up in short bursts.
It simply couldn't compare to my true form in just about any way; would that dragon have been able to escape if I was able to go all out with the ten times multiplier my true form gives me?
One could also say this was also an attempt to distance myself from that form.
Especially since we both have the same crown now.
What is better than changing from a beautifully menacing cloak of magical flames around the heroic figure from one's nightmares to a righteous set of armour? One that could cause anyone to feel safe if they stood behind it. Certainly the colour difference should be enough to create a division.
Thinking about what I previously asked teacher to finish; I turned towards her with curiosity as she wiped her dainty little hands with a cloth to get rid of the mechanical lube. "I know I only finished my part a bit before going off yesterday… But did you manage to finish the power core?"
We were doing revolutionary things as far as I was aware so it was understandable if she couldn't complete her part in just one night.
Not so much the meddling of technology mechanics & magic.
I wasn't egotistical enough to believe that, in the vast expanse of the multiverse, that I alone was the only one to come up with something like this.
Rather it was the specifics of the Siegfried armour that made it so monumental - I doubt there would be anything like it. This was because we didn't just use our knowledge but our very essence. The metal was bathed by the true gods divinity, wires enhanced by my own spirit power and so on and so on.
It was specifically made to match my needs so it was hard to know if anyone else would even be able to use it. Hell it may even be deadly to wear it due to being specifically made to use the heavenly attribute thanks to some recommendations from the boss lady at the front. It was a very unforgiving element.
Yet, despite how careful we had to be with this, my teacher merely snorted at my question with her cute little nose as high up as it could.
"The only person more skilled at seals, among all the realms, is the person who taught me them in the first place and even then they can't match up to me when I use some brute force methods. Then there is my prior experience in making the strongest weapon in existence!" She bragged while crossing her arms.
I didn't even blink as I was very used to her getting like this now - I doubt few people were as comfortable with her as I was. "So I take that as a yes?" I asked in a cool manner but I couldn't even trick myself into believing I didn't expose how excited I was at the prospect of completing my armour.
She didn't disappoint as she gave me the smuggest smile I have seen yet; giggling as she reached behind her ear to pull out exactly what I needed. Maybe it would be a more impressive sleight of hand trick (since the thing was larger than her ear) but I already knew she could teleport. No way she didn't just cheat.
Is it cheating if she uses actual magic?
Matters of such importance aside… What was once just a metallic hexagonal prism covered that looked like a bunch of hexagon motherboards with circuits & chips far thinner than a hair was now something equally as beautiful. But definitely far more magical in nature.
Those metallic walls now became crystalline in appearance while floating over her palm. The once static motherboards were also no longer static - now cyan gems that were constantly shifting in an orderly but seemingly random order. As a result they were slightly parted which allowed the insides to be visible.
From a distance one could see a golden glow but as I leaned closer (truly drawn in by the enchanting sight in front of me) I saw what looked like strips of magical runes floating around inside.
All freely floating around in a manner I couldn't understand,
"I didn't simply succeed in making it take in generating magical & mechanical energy by absorbing all forms of ambient energy… Even without ambient energy to jumpstart it, it will be able to run for decades if I didn't add something a little bit extra that you'll love~!" Her words caused me to be a little worried.
However it seemed I didn't need to be. "Remember that little aegis project you shared that you were having issues with?"
That sly smile of hers couldn't help me get a bit more expectant.
Of course I remembered Project Aegis as it was the very thing that ended up saving lives during the first ever olympics I took part in. It was the utilisation of hard-light technology to form a barrier. Although the flaw ended up being the short time I was able to keep it active due to burning through energy.
So much that it destroyed whatever design I tried to use to keep it running; literally frying itself due to the cost it took to run.
"Well I decided to use the extra energy generation to form a shield to make up for the sacrifices we made to endurance for nimbility. Though I thought it was a little brittle so I added a little something extra that you should thank me for." Pushing out her shield with one hand resting on hips.
She even moved her other hand up & down to have that hovering core bounce up then slowly fall back down only to be pushed up again. I really didn't want to find out what happened when it fell. As such I snatched it from her hands only to find that it seemed to want to push me away for a brief moment.
That force causes my instincts to erupt, however that warning vanished as soon as it came as I found it safely between my two palms.
"W-what was that…" I couldn't help unconsciously muttering.
Meanwhile my master just nodded as if she expected that. Her arms now behind her back as she paced behind me so that I was in front of the nearly complete Siegfried. "Well I can't just let my precious disciple have such an obvious weakpoint so I inscribed a few things upon it with some help."
Pretending to comb her fingers through an imaginary beard as I found myself looking down at the magical core that was still shifting unimpeded despite the clear feeling of me holding it between my hands.
"I call it… The True Inverted Black Hole Heart~!"
…
That is a really lame name; as such I decided to secretly put it as the Inverted Kuro-Loch Heart.
Now I just needed to put in the heart, run some diagnostics then hopefully try it out in the field so that I can see if it can truly hold up to estimations and it just so happens that I need to sign up as an adventurer.
