I gasped, the darkness around me suddenly receding without warning.
It felt like I was going to pass out but something had jolted me back awake forcefully, my vision first blurring before snapping back into focus.

I quickly climbed up to my feet and leapt away from where I had fallen, moments before another shot was fired from the tank that landed near where I had been moments ago.
I ducked my head as the resulting explosion sent a shockwave that knocked me stumbling forward before I managed to get my balance back.
Looking up, there were just a few hundred metres left between the tank and myself, if I could just clear this last stretch…
I shot another smoke mortar in the space between us to hide me from view before dashing into the cloud.
