His potential client scratches his beard thoughtfully, humming.
"An interesting pitch." He admits.
I stand quietly just behind Lucas' left side. Waiting.
Lucas is always patient, even when negotiating.
Personally, I find most merchant discussions insufferably boring - which is why I prefer my current profession - but there are still times when my current profession crosses over with that.
It's pretty unlikely for Lucas to be in any kind of danger in the capitol city of Carleon. At least not when doing above-board negotiations for something simple like trade agreements for what little he has left of a business since he scaled back on it.
But sometimes a part of the negotiations is to have me present.
