The Sirens of the ambulance and police echoed in the road where the traffic is still on.
Ren was currently on his way to the area where a piece of their confidential item was scattered on the main road.
The whole Research Team is currently on struggle to retrieve the item due to its public spot. To all of the places it ended up on the Main City, they might encounter the other protestors who hinders the company's project.
"Sir its a call from the base." His driver reported and started to transfer the call towards him.
"Professor Ren! You must see this footage before heading on the area." Dr. Anne said.
"I'm about to-" Ren was lost of words the moment he played the recorded footage.
He clenched his hands and closed the laptop, he tried to compose himself and massage his forehead.
"I'll head to the base." He said and ended the call, he knew Anne will probably protest on his decision.
"Find the fastest route."
Fenix and his team are currently holding up the door, they are currently staying in the Gym as a hide out.
"You sh*thead! How could you!" Dam shouted upon throwing a fist towards Alex.
Alex wiped his lower lips as he tasted blood from Dam's hard fist. He grinned and stood up like nothing happened.
"What? I just put them at rest for good." Alex answered.
"F*ck you!" Dam was about to attack him but Red and Jew managed to stop him, he struggled so hard until a sudden punch hit his face.
"Wake the f*ck up Dam! They are dead, we can't do anything about it! Do you think we are good on the idea leaving them devoured by an unknown creature?! We are going to end up like them of you'll continue being a f*ck*r! F*ck!" Fenix cursed making them stop from creating a mess.
They are surprised to see Fenix's outburst, he was a very calm person and barely throw a fit. That is why he became the Captain of the Wilbridge's Football Team, the only person who is labeled as the coolhead on the men of hotheadeds.
Dam gritted his teeth and punched the wall beside him, Fenix signed them to leave him alone to cool his head.
"Fenix, do you have any contact right now?" Jew asked.
"I received a message from a sophomore I know some of their classmates have turned after the meteor shower." Fenix answered.
"This is getting out of hand, it isn't like a normal zombie I've read in manhwas. They seem different..." Red said thinking for a while
Exactly. It is different... He thought.
Earlier, they were just practicing when meteor showers apear in a broad daylight. Some of the students didn't move an inch but some of them slowly acted strange.
One of his teammates acted differently and the moment it laid eyes on someone all of the other student reacted. They ended up devouring one to another whatever contact they laid their eyes on.
What makes the situation worst was the time when the earthquake stop a lot of students got outside the building. It lead to bloodbath that killed students on their grasped.
"How long are we going to hide here? I think its getting dark." Red asked looking at the window behind the bleachers.
"Maybe we should-"
"Shut up Alex!" Dam shouted cutting his words.
"I also don't think its a good idea Alex." Red said standing at the center, he knew any minute this two will be in flames again.
"Hey, Jew you seems quiet what's going on?" Fenix asked.
He notice Jew was quiet for about 2hrs already, Fenix walked towards him and tried to wake him up.
The final bell rang which surprises him a bit, they've been through a lot lately. They are thankful for their experience in the military training. If it wasn't for that graveyard training they could've gone mad experiencing an emergency situation.
"Look out!" Dam shouted at Fenix pointing at his back.
A sneak attack came from Jew who is currently unconcious yet his actions are quiet rash. Fenix was able to dodge wasn't able to judge the sudden attack leaving a scratch on his shoulder.
"Sh*t his turned!" Red said in a horrified expression.
"J-jew." Dam fell on his knees seeing how things turned out.
Before they could do anything a baseball bat hit on Jews head, it was Alex who is currently hitting him non-stop.
Dam paled on Alex behavior the three of them were caught off guard by his resort.
"Stop it! Stop it!" Red cried pulling Alex away from Jew who is already crushed by his beating.
"What are you going to beat me because of what I did to Jew?!" Alex exclaimed looking at Fenix.
"F*ck!." Red cursed as his pulled his hair in frustration.
Fenix didn't utter a word and left them, he head towards the back door.
"W-where are you going?" Red asked him behind.
Fenix hold his left arm and tightened his grip before facing him, Dam was also looking on the scratch on his left arm.
"I didn't expect you out of those two wouldn't understand my actions." Fenix said giving him a faint smile.
"What if it turns out diff-" Red stopped as he saw Fenix shaking his head in disaproval.
"Stay Alive Red." Fenix said in a low voice and left the Gym.
Dam stood up and walk passed Red, he left without a word nor an expression.
"I'm sorry." Those are his last words before closing the door leaving Alex and him behind.
He clenched his fist and released it after, Alex tapped his shoulder with his blooded hands.
"You have no shame right?" Red said in a cold voice.
Alex laughed like he just said a ridiculous joke, Red glared at him and walk towards the equipments area.
"If I did I'll be dead by now, you are always so peculiar Red." Alex said those words with double meaning.
"I should stop my mouth right? Sadly, I just can't." Alex grinned while holding the billiard stick that almost hit his head.
"I hope we won't meet until hell." Red said leaving Alex behind.
"Got it." Alex waved.
Fenix heads to the emergency ground, he has no idea where he was heading. He manage to hide near the trash cans when he saw a group of zombies walking towards the Main building.
"H-help! Please help us!" A voice coming from behind caught his attention.
A guy was near the window looking terrified and desperate. Fenix checked the area and ran towards them, it seems like the window was stuck.
"The door is about to break my older sister is trying her best to push it." He explained.
Fenix look around and saw a hammer, they are lucky to find an equipment from the construction area of Fashion Dept. new building.
"Leave the goddamn door and make haste!" Fenix hit the window so hard breaking the while window.
Zombies were caught up by the noise and started running towards them. Fenix pulled the two and drag them into the emergency stairs.
"You are bleeding!" Yenna shouted.
"Don't worry just pull the stairs and follow that Senior." Carius replied rushing to climb the emergenct stairs.
"Are you crazy?!" Yenna shouted but Carius has made up his mind and jump to become a bait of the zombies.
Carius run to the other side but he was trapped he shift his eyes on the left but there are facility staffs on the run.
He sighed and stopped making unnecessary movements, Carius took out his wallet and stared on their family picture with a sad smile.
"I'm sorry Yenna-"
A loud thud was heard behind him and Carius wasn't able to react by the sudden turn of events.
A fire extinguisher? He thought.
The fire extiguisher manage to buy them time and what widened Carius eyes was the man's incredible strength who is currently holding him like a sack bag.
"Rule number 4. Everyone runs with the ball and tackles equally." Fenix mumbled and hit every zombie that goes on their way.
Yenna was running as fast as she could heading to the training area, the distraction Fenix and his brother Carius created made it easier for her to run around.
She headed to the shooting aquad area and took out the air gun she's been inventing during her free time.
"I didn't think I'll make use of this now. I'll definitelypay you back you Rugby maniac." Yenna mumbled to herself thinking about Fenix words.
"Hey-"
"Yenna Lim, a silver medalist of 10 meter air riffle shooting olympics. How come you are roaming around like a cripple?" Fenix said before jumping at the 2nd floor.
Yenna gritted her teeth in anger and marched outside the quarters.
"You could've atleast tell me a plan!" She shouted.
"C Site emergency exit!" Fenix shouted towards her.

Yenna's eyes widened upon seeing a herd of zombies behind Fenix and Carius.
"This is why I hate Rugby guys you are all so stupid!" She complained and run as fast as she could to lead them.
They manage to got out of the University and shut the metal gate before the herd of zombies could catch them.
The three of them were gasping for air from the long run, Fenix was even on the floor catching his breath.
"Thank you for saving my life Senior." Carius said lending a hand on Fenix.
Fenix ignored Carius hand and stood by himself, he knew that he is no saint but a demon who is about to be turned.
"Whoever made this school he is a g*dd*mn savior." Yenna said tying his hair in a ponytail.
"Good thing we still have our phones we can use the flashlights. What are we going to do now?" Carius asked.
"He's a freshman just understand him lets head to the tower." Yenna said to Fenix who was silent for a while.
"2 hours, I'll protect you two on behalf of the whole Rugby team." Fenix said and led the way.
"I think I want to be like him sis." Carius said happily following Fenix.
Yenna was confused by Fenix outburst, he knew him since both of them started to join their clubs at the same time.
Fenix Denovah the reason why he wasn't worried about Carius during his stupidity bait plan was because of this man.
Rugby's Team is one of the dominating Sports Club in Wilbridge University. Despite of the high respect and trophys they brought their is a dark side on this Club.
Their team is consist of hardheaded deliquents who have nothing but strength than using their brains. Power and strength matters them the most the only odd thing was this man Fenix was crowned as the Rugby Team Captain.
Why? He is different. He follow rules and what makes it more odd is because of these rules, leashed this Rugby maniac and turned out to be someone with morality in the herd of black sheeps.
Yenna was having all those thoughts in mind, Rugby Team was following this guy's rules now that there are no rules to follow.
"It can't be." The tought brought her chills.
"Stop. Why are you doing this Fenix Denovah Captain of the Rugby Team? I can no longer see your Teammates wagging their tails behind you. You are all alone and now you are telling me you are going to protect us for two d*mn hours?! Who on their right mind would calculate the whole scenario without unexpected events! What the hell do you want?!" Yenna shouted on her full strength, she admitted how scared she is right now.
She can't sacrifice his brother or herself on whatever agenda Fenix is plotting with, now that there are no rules therefore-
"Don't overthink it Yenna, I'll make use of my humanity just to save you both for the last time. We Rugby's have an oath to follow and that is to make use of our strength just don't take your eyes out on him... I myself have failed as a Team Captain but not this time." Fenix voice slowly turned to whisper as he continued to lead the way leaving her speechless.
