Lucas's POV.
Lucas and Lyle, made their way across town. Lyle drove the SUV through the path that lead out of the pack house to the edge of town. The alpha occasionally glanced outside through the window like he'd expect to see something.
They'd received a call from the Alpha's old-time friend and he'd suggested that they meet up with her, to clear his mind.
Lyle could feel the Alpha's anxiety through the bond. He'd hated to admit that the alpha somehow felt better after his encounter with the Antherion.
But at the same time, he could tell that he was still mad at him from restraining the she-wolf.
"Are you alright, Alpha?" Lyle asked.
H "I am." he sighed. "I somehow forget you can sense me through the link. Tell me, Lyle. What do you think about my mother's decision to have me mated to Thalia?"
Lyle contemplated his next words. Not that he didn't know his way with words but when it came to the Alpha's mother, one had to tread with caution around the alpha.
