Pannis's leg, like a rod of metal, was almost infused with all his energy as he heavily smashed it into Nellie's left waist. However, Nellie didn't even glance at Pannis's movement; she completely ignored this heavy attack. It wasn't surprising that Nellie reacted this way. According to the world's rules, Pannis, as a mortal attempting to attack the body of a Deity, could only achieve one of two possible outcomes. One was that the attached energy was insufficient, lacking even the qualification to be judged by the rules as an attack, thus having no effect whatsoever. The other outcome was for the rules to judge it as an attack against a Deity, after which the attack's effects would be entirely reflected back onto the attacker. Aside from these two outcomes, a third possibility simply didn't exist—to have an effective attack, one must possess strength powerful enough to break the world rules established by Lord Yarra.
