Flossie Wright touched her nose, "Is something up?"
"Can't I call you if there's nothing wrong?"
Becca Reyes asked irritably and immediately couldn't be bothered to wait for Flossie Wright's indifferent response.
After a pause, Becca Reyes got straight to the point, "So, did you have dumplings in the cafeteria? Did you get the one with the bullet casing wrapped inside?"
"No," Flossie Wright said blandly.
"Ah—"
"Belinda Nichols got it."
Flossie Wright cut Becca Reyes off in time.
"..." There was a silence on the other end, and soon, Becca Reyes's voice came through, sounding speechless, "Talking to you is really hard work."
To that assessment, Flossie Wright chose not to respond.
"It's good that she got it, anyway, you have one too, right?" Becca Reyes said quite seriously, but after a pause, her voice suddenly grew louder, "You didn't lose yours, did you?"
"No."
Flossie Wright replied leisurely.
