Ben thought Sumi and the girls were great. He thought the Ibis Ibis Fruit Model: Thoth was going to be perfect for Sumi. He smiled. He thought he should call Belo Betty or BB. He reached into the drawer and opened it. There was a transponder snail. He picked up the transponder snail and put it on the table. Ben saw it had a red hat and red glasses. He picked up the receiver.
"Hello," Ben said calmly, his eyes fixed on the Den Den Mushi as its tiny eyes shifted behind its little glasses.
"You again," Belo Betty muttered, clicking her tongue in mild annoyance but a smirk tugged at the corner of her lips.
"Of course it's me," Ben replied with a chuckle. "I love you, BB," he added.
Belo Betty's heart skipped a beat. She leaned back slightly, covering it with a scoff. "You always did have a way with words," she remarked.
"I've heard that before," Ben replied, his grin widening.
"I bet you have," she said, her smirk softening into a smile.
"We've had quite the adventure," Ben said, shifting the mood slightly.
"Alvida's been keeping me updated here and there," Belo Betty replied, folding her arms.
"So… you already know everything?" Ben asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I want to hear it from you," Belo Bett responded.
"Okay," he said calmly. "It's a long story," he added. "So… as we were leaving Water 7, everything seemed normal. Then Hina and Tashigi showed up. They tried to ambush us," Ben chuckled. "They boarded the Miss Love Duck," he added.
"They are back," Belo Betty chuckled. "Was the young one red," she added.
Ben smiled. "She was red for sure but she was cute," he responded.
"You see potential in her," Belo Betty remarked.
"I do," Ben responded. He thought she could rival Zoro with the right training. "Well, after they came aboard, Vivi found something: a blue orb. It looked like some kind of relic," he added.
"Vivi activated it?" Belo Betty asked.
"She touched it, and before we knew it, we were all transported to this strange, mysterious island," Ben explained. "No idea where. None of our usual instruments worked. It was like reality had warped," he added.
Belo Betty narrowed her eyes. "Sounds like a trap," she remarked.
Ben nodded. "Maybe but either way we were there. We had to fight fake versions of enemies from our past. Smoker. Rob Lucci. Others. They looked and moved exactly like them and had their abilities," he explained. He thought the smaller orb was powerful.
Belo Betty folded her arms. "Illusions? Clones?" she asked.
"Some kind of mysterious power," Ben said. "We had to go all out. Everyone was pushed to their limit," he added.
"Alvida told me that," she said. "They had been learning the Six Powers," she added.
"Yes, they have," Ben said proudly. "Zala, Mikita, Honey, Nojiko, Conis, Maya all of them, learnt at least one of the Six Power," Ben added.
"And you said, they only had been training and practicing for a few days," Belo Betty said.
"Yes, they are incredible and talented," Ben said. He did think it was certainly odd for progression this quick however he knew his girls were amazing.
Belo Betty 's eyes narrowed. She thought maybe one of them would be talented. However, all of them. She clenched her fist and thought she had gotten stronger as well.
Ben took a breath. "We also faced Yonkos. Shanks. Whitebeard," Ben said.
Belo Betty blinked. "I know. It was right for you to face one alone, my sisters. Although they are strong, they would have not been able to handle it," Belo Betty said.
Ben smiled. "But you still are a massive idiot. Good thing Alvida was there," she remarked.
Ben's heart thought it had shattered. He sighed.
"They were real enough. Power, presence, even haki… everything felt genuine. However they were weaker, much much weaker compared to the original and even then we just survived,"
Ben added.
"What does not kill you makes you stronger," Belo Betty said.
Ben nodded. "We pushed through. And then… we found Popora," Ben said.
"Popora. Alvida described him as cute but her love is more cute," she said. Ben smiled.
"He was bound to something called the Evil Guardian. Turns out, the entire island was part of a prison, a twisted fate to keep both of them trapped and alone," Ben said.
Belo Betty frowned. "The world can be cruel," she commented.
"Yeah," Ben said. "The Evil Guardian and Popora were connected. We fought the Guardian together and broke the curse. Popora was finally freed," Ben said.
"He helped you escape?" Belo Betty asked.
Ben gave a small smile. "He sure did," Ben responded.
"Ben, I have been thinking that the girl's growth rate is abnormal, take care of my sister, they need to rest," Belo Betty said.
"I know they do. I want to. We are getting close to the time," Ben said. Ben thought Ace probably has been captured and the setting for Marineford.
"Are they going to be there?" Belo Betty asked.
"I don't want them there," Ben stated. Ben thought it was too risky and dangerous. They are not ready. He was not ready either but with the Health Drinks and staying low, he would make it.
"Will they listen to you?" Belo Betty asked.
"They would," Ben responded. He had a feeling they would. Ben smiled. "I'm glad you're still looking out for me, BB," he added.
"Of course I am, you idiot," she said with a half-smile. "You're my pain in the ass," she added. "My sisters are important to me," she remarked.
Ben grinned. "And you're my favorite revolutionary," he said.
"Only one you scum," she blurted out.
Ben chuckled. "Also it was mentioned that CP9 was behind the assassination of certain people from the revolutionary army," Ben said. "And we beat them," he added.
Belo Betty smiled. "You sure did," she said. "Now I need to go," Belo Betty said. She blew a flying kiss and left.
Ben smiled. She was his BB.
