"Aba wū jí!"
After observing for a while on the mountainside, the little old man sent by Kamiya to scout the surrounding forest returned with a shakuhachi flute in hand.
He raised the brim of his conical hat slightly and began gesturing animatedly as he reported to his master.
Kamiyagawa listened for a moment, then nodded, "Take us there."
The scout had made a discovery.
The little old man led the group into a nearby dense forest, pointing toward a towering Japanese cedar tree.
On the tree's rugged bark, a piece of white paper was pinned with a slender black nail.
Kamiya narrowed his eyes and carefully examined the black nail and white paper on the bark, glancing around to ensure there were no other issues before carefully removing the paper.
On the paper, distorted and illegible handwriting read:
[Kousei-ō intends to resurrect the Ghost Emperor Taira no Masakado.]
