Scarlett Zimmerman walked away, and it was then that Romney Queens noticed Joseph Thompson and Jaylene Ziel were still standing there, unmoved, their eyes fixed on the closed door of the Rescue Room. He began to feel that something was amiss.
"What's wrong, Joseph?" Romney furrowed his brows slightly and asked with confusion.
"Anna Ainsworth is still being resuscitated inside, I don't know what her condition is now," Joseph replied truthfully.
"Anna Ainsworth?" Romney was clearly taken aback, and as he turned his head to look at Connor Osborne, who was also soaked, he remembered that she was young Mrs. Osborne.
Romney, like Joseph, had been classmates with Connor Osborne. Seeing him in this state, the bond of their old school days immediately surged.
"Connor, you're soaked through, hurry back and change your clothes. Don't worry, I'll stay here with Joseph. Your wife will be fine, rest assured."
