Anna Ainsworth finally returned to her room under the close protection of security personnel, who took their duty so seriously they watched her enter the room before turning and leaving.
Anna stood agitatedly in front of the large mirror in her room, scrutinizing her reflection in the mirror. No matter how she looked, she couldn't see any signs of someone contemplating suicide.
Suicide? She didn't even know what the security personnel observed. She had just been feeling a bit seasick, having fainted for a moment; her complexion was just slightly pallid, that was all.
That certainly couldn't be taken as proof of a desire to commit suicide, could it?
