Aiden: He looked around inside the base camp, seeing that Radna was distracted. "I need to become stronger, to become faster if I want to be able to help..." He recalled hearing Radna say something about a shard of transformation; if he could obtain this shard before Lucium, then he could prevent everything.
He pressed his wrist gauntlet, forming his mechanical suit over his body as he timed his lightning jump to perfectly align with a real lightning bolt. "Remember what we practiced...speed can take you anywhere...just ride the lightning." He blasted himself out of the current timeline, scanning all chained ones to try and find any sign of this shard.
His wrist gauntlet began flashing red as it pinpointed a strange black colored timeline, seemingly pushed back away from the rest. If the shard was going to be anywhere, it would be here. "I'll make you proud, Star..." He blasted himself into the timeline, landing in what appeared to be an abandoned city, with a large open pit in the center. He blitzed to the hole, looking down into it, seeing hellfire at the bottom. "Is this a pit to Hell? What on earth happened here?" He grew suspicious of the silence, noticing claw marks on the outside of the pit, as if something was trying to escape.
He knelt, scanning the scratches through his visor, it was unable to identify what exactly made the claw marks, it was picking up so many different types of DNA at once. "Angel, human, demon DNA all in one place? What happened here...why are there no signs of life? Where is everyone?!"
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw something zip by, and for a second, it looked like an angel. He quickly turned around, "Hello?" The silence thickened, trails of dried blood were spread out everywhere, dragged up crumbling buildings, into holes, there wasn't a place around that didn't have blood on it. Then, he suddenly heard crunching sounds, munching of flesh, and teeth grinding together. He tapped his hand, a flashlight shined into the crumbling buildings, and that's when he saw...IT.
A hunched-over, disfigured amalgamation of flesh and bones, a single rotten and decayed angel wing sticking out of its back with demonic claws, this thing was a combination of a bunch of different creatures. Its body appeared both stretched and dried, longer than anything should be, with one feature that stuck out the most, its gaping eyeholes.
He took a step back, but it was too late. The creature's long neck snapped around, letting out an ear-piercing screech as it suddenly charged toward Aiden. "STAY AWAY!" He quickly fired bolts of lightning from his arms, but the creature remained undeterred, continuing its pursuit.
Aiden ran up the walls of a crumbling building, hoping that gaining some height would give him an advantage, but as soon as he looked down, he saw the creature scurrying up the walls, its one wing flapping, its head shaking from side to side as it moved at unreal speeds. Before he could run, the creature grabbed hold of Aiden's leg, attempting to bite into him, but the armor prevented the teeth from puncturing in.
He quickly remembered that only holy energy can harm angels or demons, and he tapped his lightning, drawing whatever energy remained from the creature, firing back into it. Luckily, this worked, and the beast fell from the building, slowly turning to dust, but its last screech sounded like, 'Thank you?' "What the hell is going on here?!"
Thousands of screams erupted in the landscape, and it seemed they were all connected and woke up after Aiden's attack. He felt a presence nearby, and he turned to the side of the collapsed building, seeing a fleshy, tall figure standing before him, with eyes all over its body.
????: "I didn't think anybody was left, this is quite the surprise~." The lengthy figure cut its cheeks open so it could smile wider, showing its disfigured and jagged teeth. Its strangely humanoid eyes darted to face Aiden.
Aiden: "What are you?" He stood on guard, sparks of blue lightning flowed through his arms. "Is all of this your doing?"
????: "I am the piece you have been searching for, I am the final shard. But did you seriously think it was a good idea to come alone?" The creature raised its hands, and the screams erupted as more of those creatures burst forth from the ground below, clawing at the bottom of the crumbling building, causing it to collapse. The being stared down at Aiden as the rubble cracked and fell, "Aiden Greenwood, the boy who came back with the powers of a god. The funny part of it is you are still just a child...controlled by fear."
Aiden: He zapped himself to a different building roof, gripping his chest as he felt fear and anxiety clawing at him from inside. The sounds of those creatures climbing up to rip him apart made his heart speed up, his vision growing blurry. He closed his eyes, the air growing thin and silent, and he then remembered some words from Star.
Star: "The heart of man allows fear to envelope them, but the heart of the courageous is already too full of strength to allow the fear anywhere near. Break free from fear, my son, become true to your will."
Aiden: He calmed himself down, opened his eyes to look down at the creatures and then at the leader. "Controlled by fear, huh? Have you met my uncle...what reason would I have to fear you!" He smirked under his helmet, clashing his fists together, golden sparks of energy burst from his body, vaporizing the building he stood on and the creatures on it. Lightning spiraled under his feet, allowing him to stand on the air itself, the confidence and will inside of his body sparked his golden lightning true.
????: "Confidence and arrogance are the same!" the creature blasted a cloud of smoke toward Aiden, the disease that turned all of these people, fueled the cloud.
Aiden: The image of him disappeared from the sky as he appeared behind the creature, "You got about half of that right, it's not arrogance, it's willpower, the strength to win!" His body sparked, and the creature suddenly felt his body get launched back, as if he had been hit an infinite number of times in one instant.
????: The creature stumbled back to its feet, summoning more of those creatures from the ground, but a large storm above struck down golden lightning bolts upon the creatures as they spawned.
Aiden: "I noticed the variants of Lucium aren't anywhere near as strong as he is, but you each have deadly qualities. Yours isn't strength or durability, or anything close; it's just that virus. Which infects multiple lifeforms, combines them, and turns them into those things. But they are still what they used to be, which means they can be destroyed just as easily by their original weaknesses, you didn't account for that when creating them, did you?" His eyes glared from within the visor, and sparks of energy surrounded his forearms.
"Is this all a part of Lucium's grand plan? To turn everybody into those creatures? So if I destroy you and the shard within, he can't strip everyone of their will? Sounds easy enough to me!" He fired large bolts of lightning from his palms, knocking the creature down to the floor. The cloud above them then fired down a larger bolt onto the beast, evaporating the entire surface of the planet they stood upon. "This is your final moment! From the heavens, strike with might! Power Move: Celestial Oblivion Surge, embrace the light!" A surge of blinding white energy bursts outward, erasing everything within its radius, turning this corrupted timeline into nothingness.
He floated down to the white floor, looking around the infinite stretched domain of shimmering white, "Evil is no more." He took a deep breath before noticing a small red shard on the floor, with a black cloud spiraling around inside of it. He picked it up. "How on earth did this survive?"
Kwualvka: The mechanical archangel ripped a tear in the nothingness, passing through, staring down Aiden as he held the final shard. "I believe you have something...that belongs to my master."
