Chapter 56 - Encrypted

I walked towards a crowd of buzzing students, like moths fluttering around a flame, spread apart gravitating towards the centre, where our teacher sat patiently.

Alisha was at the side looking up taking notes in her notebook, as usual.

I positively assumed she was note-taking about the birds, as she seemed engrossed in whatever she was writing. Her dark emerald eyes shimmered, and her locks of dark auburn red hair shrouded her face.

The colossal creatures were soaring up in the sky, some perched comfortably on tall tree branches, just perceptibly watching us.

Just then, I felt something lightly tickle my forehead.

A silver feather slowly but steadily swung downwards in a calm and surreal manner, landing in the perfect centre of my palm.

I hadn't even noticed I'd unconsciously put my hand out until I felt the slightly hard sensation of the feathers tickling the surface of my skin.
