Making her way out of the Creator's residence felt like taking a long trek through a garden of gloom. Each footstep felt heavier than the last, as the feelings that were welling up inside of the Goddess were becoming unbearable.
Moon had anticipated beforehand that by coming here, she would likely discover information that could cause pain or feelings of betrayal. What she hadn't expected was to unearth history that had upended everything she had ever known.
How unexpectedly life could change with the snap of a finger. It had thrown everything that she thought was true into question. There were now elements of sorrow, danger, and even desperation that were not present before.
Those last moments in the Observatory felt suffocating. She couldn't get out of there fast enough. She had known the Creator to be cold at times and selfish at most. But the Goddess had never known him to be so cruel. The lack of remorse he demonstrated was as breathtaking as being strangled.
