After getting off at the next station, a coat was draped over her shoulders, and Joshua Sulliven reached out to check her temperature, but Keira Leaf turned aside to avoid his touch and walked straight into the building.
A trace of gloom flashed through Joshua's eyes, but seeing that she had not taken off the coat, his mood eased slightly.
After returning to the living room, she took a bath, changed into pajamas, and settled on the sofa to watch TV.
Joshua sat next to her and poured her a bowl of flower tea, placing it by her side.
Keira glanced at him, took the bowl with both hands, and continued to focus on the TV.
"Are you cold at all?"
Keira ignored him, her gaze shifting past him and settling on the TV as if she had decided to treat him like air.
He touched her hand, which was not cold, so Joshua then sat back down to her side, and together they watched TV.
