"Melanie, are your injuries serious?" Adrian Desmond asked.
"She was shot in the abdomen and is currently undergoing emergency treatment at the hospital," Walter Klein reported.
Adrian Desmond hadn't expected it to be so severe.
Melanie Carpenter was Adrian Desmond's fiancée. Adrian Desmond had offended many people, so he had provided Melanie Carpenter with top-tier bodyguards. Yet, Melanie Carpenter had still been injured, shot in the abdomen no less.
He roared, "How could Melanie get injured? Where were those bodyguards? What the hell good are they?"
