The nobleman's sharp gaze appraised us both, his mustache twitching slightly as he reach for radio to contact someone below, likely to help him confirm my appearance. I could feel Saffron's grip on me tighten ever so slightly, a reassuring presence amidst the uncertainty.
After a tense moment, the man's stern expression softened, and he gave a respectful nod. "Princess Rosemary, my apologies for the abrupt greeting. According to Her Sacredness, you may continue."
"Her Sacredness?" I asked, tilting my head.
"Indeed. The Lady of Many Waters vouched for you two."
Eh? He contacted Aquarina?
"I-I see," I muttered, feeling bad for having him bother her.
"Although, she did say she would like to speak with you. For now, enjoy your time in our kingdom."
"We will," Saffron said, rubbing my back. "Looks like we're in the clear."
