Chapter 221: The End of the Tournament

The second round of the second match in the finals between Shrek Academy and Star Luo Royal Academy became an unforgettable scene in the memory of many spectators.

The Martial Spirit Fusion Technique is extremely rare for spirit masters, as it requires a high level of compatibility between their martial spirits and spirit power. The chances of such a technique appearing are incredibly low.

Even in the Advanced Spirit Master Academy Tournament, the appearance of a Martial Spirit Fusion Technique is quite rare.

The last time both sides used Martial Spirit Fusion Techniques against each other in the tournament was probably several decades ago.

So, when Shrek Academy's participants, Lan Sisi and Lan Niannian, unhesitatingly used their Martial Spirit Fusion Technique at the very beginning of the match, and when Dai Tonghua and Zhu Ziyan from Star Luo Royal Academy responded with their own after a brief moment of shock, the entire crowd was swept into a frenzy.

For the spectators, witnessing such a situation was definitely worth the ticket price.

Lan Sisi and Lan Niannian's martial spirits were the Ice Elemental Spirit and Snow Elemental Spirit, respectively.

Their Martial Spirit Fusion Technique was called "Ice and Snow Goddess."

On the other side, Dai Tonghua and Zhu Ziyan's technique, as expected, was the famous "Hell White Tiger."

As both sides unleashed their Martial Spirit Fusion Techniques, the figures of the four contestants vanished, replaced by a five-meter-tall striped tiger and a six-meter-tall goddess in a snowflake gown on the battlefield.

Lan Sisi and Lan Niannian, being sisters, both had a spirit power level of 55, and their fusion technique was highly compatible, making its power nearly equivalent to a seven-ring Spirit Saint.

In contrast, while Dai Tonghua had a higher spirit power level of 58, his partner, Zhu Ziyan, only had a level 49 spirit power.

Normally, their fusion technique could easily defeat two Spirit Kings, but against another fusion technique, they found it challenging.

Due to the other team's higher average strength, the Hell White Tiger quickly fell into a disadvantage.

In the end, the Hell White Tiger was knocked off the battlefield by a blizzard from the Ice and Snow Goddess, transforming back into an unconscious Zhu Ziyan and a pale-faced, grim Dai Tonghua. With that, the Advanced Spirit Master Academy Tournament came to an end.

"We did it! We're number one!" Yun Xi, who had been watching the match, jumped up in excitement and hugged each of her teammates before embracing Yue Lengxin, her face beaming with joy.

Yue Lengxin's face also showed a trace of a smile.

Even though Shrek Academy had won many championships in a row, this was Yue Lengxin's first time leading them to victory as the team leader, and the feeling was entirely different.

In the last tournament, she had been a team captain herself.

"Congratulations." As he watched the waiting area and the stands turn into a sea of celebration, with the cheers of tens of thousands almost tearing off the arena's roof, Qi Han couldn't help but feel a bit of joy and excitement himself. Holding his cat, Pururu, he spoke softly.

His voice was quickly drowned out by the cheering, like a drop of water in the ocean, unnoticed.

Only the girl beside him, her eyes bright like sunlight, responded softly, her lips parting just slightly, but the words reaching Qi Han's ear clearly.

"Thank you."

...

After the match, Qi Han didn't join the award ceremony for the top three teams.

It was said that the Star Luo Empire had put up three ten-thousand-year-old spirit bones as the championship prize, which was an incredibly generous reward. Unfortunately, the ceremony was held inside the imperial palace, and outsiders weren't allowed to witness it.

Holding Pururu, Qi Han returned to his restaurant, Small Shop, and went straight to the kitchen.

After fiddling around for a while, he finally prepared the promised double portion of cat food for Pururu.

Qi Han gave Pururu a five-star rating for the help today.

After preparing the cat food, the evening business hours were about to start. Once his three employees had finished their staff meal, Qin Yue opened the restaurant doors for the evening.

In the dining area, the chatter of customers was louder than usual, and Qi Han could easily guess that they were talking about the afternoon's finals based on the occasional snippets of conversation he overheard in the kitchen.

Many customers who couldn't get tickets to the match sighed and expressed their regret as they listened to others excitedly recount the events of the day.

Suddenly, the chatter in the dining area paused for a moment, followed by cheers and applause.

Qi Han instinctively looked toward the door and saw several familiar figures.

All of Shrek Academy's participants, along with Yue Lengxin and Cao Rang, had arrived at Small Shop.

Even Qi Han was a bit surprised.

He had thought the team would need to rest and recover after the afternoon's match and wouldn't come out for dinner.

The group sat together on the first floor, and even Cao Rang, who usually smiled reservedly, was in a noticeably better mood, ordering food with abandon.

He ordered several servings of each dish from the Three-Star menu, and every other dish was accounted for as well.

Today, the students had won the championship, and as the dean of the outer court, Cao Rang was feeling generous.

...

"Triple No-Stick, please enjoy."

Qi Han, busy with orders, appeared again in the dining area, carefully placing a tray of dishes in front of Yue Lengxin before turning to leave.

"Wait a moment, Boss Qi."

A voice called out, making Qi Han pause mid-step.

The speaker wasn't Yue Lengxin, but Cao Rang, who sat beside her.

"Senior Cao, what is it?" Qi Han asked curiously as he walked over to him.

"Ah, well…" Cao Rang hesitated for a moment before speaking. "I wanted to ask, when do you plan to return to Shrek City? We'll be leaving Star Luo City early tomorrow morning, and you're welcome to travel with us."

Yue Lengxin's expression remained unchanged, but after hearing Cao Rang's question, her chopsticks paused, and her ears perked up slightly.

"Thank you for the offer, but I might need another two or three days before heading back," Qi Han replied after a moment of thought.

He needed to complete a side quest before leaving, ensuring that Qin Yue and Qin Yao could independently manage the restaurant's operations in his absence.

The two sisters hadn't yet met his standards, but they were close.

By his estimation, they'd be ready in about two more days.

"Two or three days, huh…" Cao Rang's expression showed some disappointment.

Shrek Academy's affairs were busy, and the group couldn't wait for Qi Han for two or three days.

Still, for Cao Rang, this was good news in a way. At least he wouldn't have to wait long after returning to Shrek City to enjoy more of Small Shop's delicious food.

After finishing their meal, the Shrek Academy group didn't linger long and soon left to pack for their departure the next morning.

Although the team had caused quite a stir in the dining area, things returned to normal after they left, and Small Shop's business concluded peacefully for the night.

As usual, Qi Han spent half an hour guiding the Qin sisters before watching them leave, then he returned to his room and quickly fell into a deep sleep.

That night, while the tournament's excitement still lingered, certain hidden currents, masked by the tournament's frenzy, quietly began to surface.
