Kuta was lying where she had been dumped off by the agents of the Sabre family, within the back alley of a random city where no one would question why a mage or weapon user was there. Those were places where both could be found and normally they were not the type that was given a second look for that long. They were hit upon by hard times via their own choices, the choices of others, external ones beyond their control, and/or a mixture of the three plus various other things that mostly likely happened.
Though Kuta herself was not wearing anything nor had anything of value to her at the time she had brought her other than the basic looking clothes on her back. There was one thing that could be considered of value that she still possessed after losing everything and that being she still had her wand. In that, she was dumped where she was with her arms that had become truly an extension of her weapon through merging with them fully and now serving as such in both capacities. Her arms when she needed them and her weapon whenever she wanted to use them for whatever purposes. Raised away from the world of mages in general where normally there was more a mixture of the two sides. Where Kuta grew up was an extreme example where no mages lived as it was almost like the end goal for those that wanted to follow the path of weapon user and only that of weapon users. They did not like mages and the only times that topic and/or subject ever came up was when it was how to counter mages and their magics.
Yet this was something that was rare in the city where the Sabre manor was located as that city was considered the mecca by the traditional weapon users at least. Those who did not want anything at all to do with mages and/or magic on any level. The fact that no one there was a mage and that the families that did live there were those like the Sabres that had basically zero percent chance of ever producing one so much to the result of why Kuta was never tested for being a mage when she was younger. Despite the environment she was born into the improbable is not impossible even in this case. However, they were not going to test those born to such a family with basically zero percent chance of producing a mage, only for ninety nine point nine percent of cases to reveal they were not mages. A waste of resources as to why the city was considered a mecca for those who were traditional weapon users while mages were born that way. Weapon users were too in a sense at least as everyone was born with the ability to use mana however mages use it for magic as they use the external mana from outside their bodies. While weapon users were using Ki which was their own internal mana. So those that were hardcore traditionalists were drawn to the city where the Sabre manor was located as everyone there was similar to Sabre in their views and how their bloodlines basically produced zero mages or anyone capable of using external mana to create magic.
When someone did come across Kuta as a result and think that she was just in a spaced out daze they would even notice if she stole the one thing she had left other than her clothes. They were in for a violent shock the moment they got too close to her with ill intent and/or thought of stealing her wand/arms from her. Her body would lash out at them automatically almost as if a reflective response to their intents or actions. Since this was not something Kuta was consciously doing herself she was not holding back her strength at all. One poor would be thief found this out the the hard way as they were even able to register their own death fully at least as it happened so fast. One moment they were reaching for Kuta's seemingly defenseless arms just lying around her only for the next moment to see their body flying off in the distance.
The agent that dumped her here never triggered their kind of response from her because they never tried taking anything from her as they were just transporting her. While this did register in the back of her mind as a movement it was not being considered as them trying to take anything from her but instead merely moving her. A difference was that decided their life from their deaths in this instance. Everyone knew to steer clear of Kuta as they did not know how and a clear rule of thumb for dealing with mages that was considered common sense by the general public at least. That was do not going around messing with a mage whose magic you do not know what it is. Hard to counter something when you do not even know what or how you should do that in the first place. Attempt trial and error if you want to find out but be wary that just one error could be life altering to even fatal.
It would be sometime later after Kuta had been dumped in this random city's back alley. That mage would appear one that was looking for the one that vanished recently. Hearing rumors about them being hired by the well off family of traditional weapon users for something. That mage was one that they had attempted to teach before but things did not work out as they had planned for them to. It was unfortunate as they thought they had finally found someone that would be a good match for them but sadly that was not the case. So when they came up missing and then later found dead they just wondered about it and followed their track as best they could though found nothing.
Yet on a whim, they had come to this city as they were someone who was interested in and researched unique forms of magic possessed by a mage that was not considered ordinary by the traditional means as least. Magic was far less defined than just I use a sword thus I am sword weilding weapon user or something along those lines. What one's wand looked like did not always give you a clue to what type of magic they used just what they poured enough mana into to make that their wand in the first place.
This unique type of mage ended up stumbling upon Kuta in a state where she was still alive after everything despite how long since she had been dumped there. Which immediately caused them to forget about the mage that vanished as her existence piqued their interest like nothing else had in a long time now. The reasoning behind them all sudden stop caring about the mage originally led them to being in their general area was because they already could guess the what and the why about the mage's vanishing. They were just interested in learning the how without going so far as to experience it themselves firsthand. The mage that discovered Kuta was shocked to find her alive given the state she was in.
This would mark the end of one chapter in her life and start building the groundwork for the next one.
