Chapter 553 - Reopening Ultra Wormhole and Obtaining a Sparkling Stone

The people of the Aether Foundation followed the direction in which the white Kaguya had flown, but when they arrived at the location, all they saw were the traces left by the white Kaguya's crash—there was not a single sign of the white Kaguya itself.

"Someone's been here."

A researcher's Growlithe sniffed the area, and the members of the Aether Foundation were immediately startled, especially Faba, who snapped angrily, "Search."

At this moment, however, Terrance was following Tapu Koko into a bamboo forest on Melemele Island. Tapu Koko led Terrance to a strange place—it was completely deserted, despite the surrounding area being full of bamboo.

Tapu Koko flew to a section of the area and pointed to a green, sharp tip about the size of a human wrist sticking out of the ground, signaling Terrance to dig it out.

"This… could it be Kaguya?" Terrance exclaimed in surprise.

If you didn't know better, you'd definitely think it was just a newly sprouted bamboo shoot—it looked that similar.

However, looking at the ground, Terrance scratched his head. If he used the white Kaguya's size as a reference, then this Kaguya should also be extremely large. In such a case, digging it out clearly wouldn't be an easy task.

But soon, Terrance came up with a solution. He called out Castform and had it use its "Sandstorm Power" to manipulate the earth in the area, gently stripping away the soil. With Castform's help, the excavation efficiency greatly increased. About ten minutes later, the full appearance of Kaguya was revealed before Terrance.

"It really is… a green Kaguya?"

This Kaguya, although similar in appearance to the one that recently appeared from the Ultra Wormhole, had a completely different color. In local terms, one of them would probably be referred to as a "Shiny Ultra Beast."

After Kaguya was unearthed, Terrance clearly saw a smile appear on the face of this Ultra Beast. If Terrance hadn't been mentally prepared, he might have been scared by such a bizarre scene.

"Terrance, they probably fly by burning the energy within their bodies. The heat waves could easily set this bamboo forest on fire, so you'll need to stop it, Roto," said the Rotom Pokédex.

"That's the real reason you brought me here as support, isn't it?" Terrance looked at Tapu Koko.

Tapu Koko nodded, pointing at the Poké Ball in Terrance's hand that held the other Kaguya, indicating that this one should also be fully returned to the Ultra Wormhole.

"Alright then," Terrance sighed. If he guessed correctly, this green Kaguya was the one from the fairy tale. However, several hundred years ago, it hadn't accumulated enough energy to fly back to where it came from, so it had fallen back down again.

Terrance looked up at the sky.

According to the fairy tale, the green Kaguya was apparently still in its juvenile state back then—it hadn't yet matured.

Now that Tapu Koko had asked Terrance for help, it seemed that Kaguya had finally accumulated enough energy to return.

"Castform, form a barrier with the sandstorm, use water flow to bind it together, and then reinforce it continuously with Ice Beam together with Altaria," Terrance instructed after some thought.

Castform and Altaria worked with great efficiency. As the frozen barrier was completed, the unearthed green Kaguya once again revealed a smile and moved slightly.

Tapu Koko flew beside Terrance and dragged him backward. In the very next moment, green Kaguya's two arms erupted with intense heat waves, acting directly as propulsion that transformed it into a glimmering starship, soaring into the distant sky.

That posture… was truly beautiful.

Terrance gazed at the green Kaguya flying back into the sky, waves of emotion stirring in his heart.

Poni Island, Vast Poni Canyon.

Led by Tapu Fini, Terrance returned once again to the location where the white Kaguya had appeared.

Holding the Poké Ball containing the white Kaguya, Terrance wore a helpless expression, finding the situation quite troublesome—because the Aether Foundation still had personnel stationed here.

"What now?" Terrance shrugged and looked at Tapu Fini.

Tapu Fini's response… was to go negotiate directly.

Terrance genuinely wanted to do this favor for Alola's guardian deities. Compared to white Kaguya, building a good relationship with the guardian deities seemed far more meaningful to Terrance.

Tapu Koko had taken notice of Terrance due to his bizarre bracelet, and when the white Kaguya appeared, Terrance happened to be nearby. After a brief discussion among the four guardian deities, they decided to entrust Terrance with solving both of these problems. Terrance was like a chosen child, summoned by the guardian deities of Alola, carrying out a mission of great sanctity.

Terrance had a small thought—since he had helped these guardian deities, that meant they now acknowledge him… right?

These guardian deities were far more mysterious than the Ultra Beasts. After numerous considerations, Terrance still believed that forming a good relationship with the guardian deities would yield more benefits than drawbacks.

As soon as Terrance stepped into the area guarded by the Aether Foundation, he was immediately confronted by several employees trying to drive him away. Terrance glanced around and asked in surprise, "Where's that auntie with the light purple hair?"

Light purple hair?

The Aether Foundation employees who stayed behind at the site immediately thought of Assistant Branch Chief Wicke, and looked at Terrance with a strange expression.

Seeing their odd looks, Terrance was briefly confused. What were they thinking about now?

"It's about that Ultra Beast. Help me get in touch with your person in charge," Terrance said, seeing how tightly the Aether Foundation had locked down this area. He knew that if he wanted to return the white Kaguya, he'd first have to deal with these people.

Hearing that it involved the Ultra Beast, the Foundation employees finally took it seriously. One of them quickly contacted Assistant Branch Chief Wicke.

"Assistant Branch Chief Wicke said to wait a moment, no need to rush," the employee said, their attitude suddenly doing a complete 180 as they spoke warmly, seemingly acting on some new instruction.

Terrance rolled his eyes and waited quietly. Before long, Wicke, with her signature light purple hair, hurried over to the site.

"It's you," Wicke exclaimed in surprise the moment she saw Terrance. It hadn't been many days since their last meeting—she still remembered him clearly.

With the guardian deities' permission, Terrance naturally gave Wicke a selective recounting of the situation from the beginning. Wicke's expression shifted constantly as she listened, and only after Tapu Fini revealed itself did she finally confirm that what Terrance said was true.

"Please give me a moment—I need to contact the President."

Wicke took about three minutes to get a response. After receiving instructions, she ordered all employees to vacate the area. Terrance walked to the spot where the Ultra Wormhole had previously appeared and released the white Kaguya from its Poké Ball. With the white Kaguya's reappearance, the Ultra Wormhole mysteriously reopened. The white Kaguya looked around in confusion, staring at the Ultra Wormhole, and before it could react, it was suddenly drawn into the wormhole by a mysterious force. The Ultra Wormhole closed swiftly right after.

Terrance watched as the white Kaguya returned to the Ultra Wormhole. Without realizing it, he picked up the Poké Ball he had used to capture it. At that moment, the guardian deity flew over to Terrance and transferred a glowing stone to him.
