Sitting on a small rock, Krillin looked up at the Blonde Olibu explaining the proper way to increase his strength.
"You've probably been taught that becoming strong is a purely physical endeavor but they're all wrong, becoming strong is equally parts about willpower!" Olibu's intense voice said to Krillin who by now, has taken out a notebook and wrote down what Olibu was saying.
"You can spend 10 hours lifting heavy weights and it'll increase your strength but not in a meaningful way, or you can train for ten minutes under grueling conditions that push yourself beyond your natural limits!" Hearing this Krillin had a quizzical look on his face.
Krillin always figured that it was really only the Saiyan who could break through their limits, weather it be their fighting instincts, zenkai boost, or transformations it was always them who broke their limits.
"Instead of training with heavy but manageable weights, find the exact limits of yourself and add more to it. It's only when you dig deep within yourself, and through sheer will power alone, push your body beyond its natural limit that you'll quickly grow stronger." Hearing Olibu's explanation Krillin nodded in understanding.
"Training this way significantly increases the rate at which your strength develop but be warned, pushing yourself beyond its limits causes muscles to tear and veins to pop. You'll grow stronger quicker but you'll be spending a lot of your time resting and healing after each time you train, but even with that it'll be significantly faster than regular weight training."
'This training method sounds perfect for me! I have a small healing factor, healing magic from Shenron, and over a thousand Senzu beans!'
Seeing Krillin had finished writing down everything he said and look up to Olibu to see if he had anything else to say, olibu felt bad. Krillin just spent the past four days teaching him ki and inexchanged he just spent the past three minutes telling him how to train his body.
"Do you wish to learn anything else from me?" Olibu said hoping to even put the trade of information.
"I don't really need to learn anything else but I would love to spar with you! Your a legend where I come from and I want to test myself against you!" Krillin wanted to see just how strong earths first hero was and wanted to adapt to his magical shoes.
"Me a legend? I don't know about that but I'll love to spar with you! Feel free to use your ki against me!" Leaving his sword in his sheath, Olibu stepped forward with his fists up.
"Your allowing me to use my Ki? Your gonna regret that!" Olibu watched as starting from Krillins feet, he began to turn invisible before he was ultimately gone!
"So Ki can even go so far at this! I seriously underestimated its capability!" Olibu was smiling with battle lust when suddenly he turned around at an insane speed and backhanded the air!
The backhanded punch was just an inch away from Krillin head! The wind alone from this punch pushed Krillin back as he began to sweat.
"You may be invisible, but that doesn't mean I cant sense you! I've honed my body to its peak, I can sense the minute changes in the air your body creates, I can smell the faint sweat your body emits, and I can hear your hidden footsteps displacing dirt!"
Hearing this Krillin dropped his invisibility illusion, deciding not to waste the Ki on something not useful.
"If I can't beat you with trickery, I guess I have to do this the old fashioned way!" Bursting Forward with an ugodly speed, Krillin fist smashed straight into Olibu's!
The shockwave created ripples of air that bursted forward and shook the surrounding Trees, Krillin was pushed back a few feet but he quickly went back at Olibu!
The two fighter continued their spar, Olibu's strength greatly surpassing Krillin but Krillins speed was slightly faster than Olibu thanks to his shoes. This forced Krillin to dodge all of Olibu's attacks but the monks own attacks did very little against Olibu's dense muscles!
With each punch from Olibu a powerful gust of wind bursted forth, as he got more focused and actually took the fight seriously, the wind from his punches began ripping trees out of their roots and sent them flying!
The battle raged on, Krillin took a couple punches to the body that seriously hurt him and Olibu's body was covered in bruises from repeated weak punches throughout the body. It seemed like the two would go at it forever when suddenly Krillin jumped back fair distance away and caught his breath, Olibu similarly breathing heavily.
"Do you know what a Ki struggle is Olibu?" A faint smile appearing on Krillins face.
"I have no idea."
"It's when two fighter clash head to head in a Ki based attack, it usually done as the deciding factor for the battle. Do you want to try it out!" Krillin said already knowing the answer.
"How can I turn down such a thing, I will use my everything to beat yours Krillin!" Placing both of his hands outwards like he was doing a standing pushups, bright white light began pooling around Olibu's hands!
Krillin watched this with a smile, his hands closing together to make an imaginary ball and moved his sides.
"Kame! Hame!! HAAA!!!" The bright blue beams of Ki shot forward as Olibu similarly shot out a beam of pure white energy!
It was clear to both side that Olibu's had much more Ki than Krillin as his beam was double the size, despite that Krillins Kamehameha was able to match Olibu's because of his Ki control and technique.
This was the first time Krillin had used the Kamehameha, he'd already surpassed both the control and Ki needed to perform this technique and simply didn't have the need to use it!
The beams clash against one another, the power from both sides had ripped a hole in the ground where their beams met and the entire forest around them shook!
The white beam of energy was slowing closing the distance, Krillins Kamehameha was just not strong enough to surpass the abundant of Ki that Olibu had.
'Damn it! I haven't won a single battle since I've come to this world, at this rate I'll follow the trend of the original Krillins and continue to be a loser...'
Krillin saw that the white beam of Olibu had completely overwhelmed his Kamehameha and was just a few feet away, the monk closed his eyes as he continued to lose ground.
Just as the the white beam of Ki was a few inches away from Krillins hand, the boy opened his eyes and roared out through clenched teeth.
"I REFUSE TO LOSE!!!"
Krillin didn't care if this was a friendly spar, he would rather die before allowing himself to lose!
'If I can't overwhelming you with Ki, Ill just out control you with Ki!' With that thought process an idea popped into Krillins mind, an idea that he immediately put into practice.
The blue Kamehameha seemed to change colors into a bright yellow, the once overwhelmed Kamehameha began to split apart the attack of Olibu as he changed the aspect of his Ki to be sharp!
"DESTRUCTO KAMEHAMEHAAAA!!!"
Like cutting through butter, Krillins yellow Kamehameha ripped through Olibu's ki and just as it seemed like it was about to slice the Blond hero in half, Krillin immediately stopped the attack!
"I....won!"
