When Fisher emerged from the café, it was nearly half past eight, over twenty minutes past the time he'd agreed to meet Anna.
Time spent with Elizabeth in the café felt like it had flown by, though he felt as if only five minutes had passed.
After leaving, he hurriedly boarded a carriage headed for the Miao Cemetery where he and Anna had arranged to meet.
Upon hearing Fisher's destination, the coachman opened the small carriage window specifically to get a good look at him, and only after confirming that he was a living person did he slowly start the carriage,
