DAY 2
Ishana:
(I woke up in the morning...
I was still on my bed, staring at the ceiling.)
Only three more days left...
To get out of this mess.
Wait a minute!!
Isn't my engagement on the third day?
So technically... I have only two days left!!
Huhhh...
How did this stupid wish of mine come true?!
I just liked him. I imagined him with me in daydreams...
But I never wanted to marry him for real!
God!! From childhood till now, I've wished for so many things,
And you never granted them.
But this one?!
The one I didn't even want for real? You made that come true??
I told you already —
I'm okay imagining him with me. That's enough.
But in real life? It's frustrating... It's too real.
Wait, wait!!
Isn't this the exact same storyline I imagined before?
I didn't notice earlier... but everything is happening just like in my mind!
Does that mean...
What I imagined is turning into reality?
Then, if I'm not wrong,
He's going to knock on my door in a few seconds.
(Stares at the door)
KNOCK KNOCK!!
Abhi:
"Ishana!!"
Ishana: (thinking)
Oh. My. God.
This means it's all coming true...
Damn this stupid brain of mine.
Ishana:
"Yes?"
Abhi:
"May I come in?"
Ishana: (still a bit shocked)
"Uhmm... yeah, come in."
(He steps in. He looks fresh, dressed for work, holding his bag.)
Abhi:
"Hi, good morning!"
Ishana:
"What is it? Why are you here so early?
Don't tell me my mom sent you here to say 'good morning' and tell me you're leaving for work."
Abhi:
"Yep, exactly! How do you know everything?
Wait... Did you ask your mom to send me here?"
Ishana: (thinking)
Of course, I know!
This is my story.
Technically yes — I imagined telling mom to send him — but not in real life!
God, this is so confusing...
Ishana (aloud):
"Don't try to act smart!!
And who do you think you are, huh?
Why would I use tricks on you?
Do you really think you're worthy of my tricks?!"
Abhi:
"Ouch! That hurts!" (puts hand on chest dramatically)
"No, no! I wasn't trying to be anything...
Anyway, I'm getting late for work.
Or else, you'll end up arguing with me till night."
(He laughs a little and turns to leave.)
Ishana: (thinking, watching him leave)
He left...
Maybe I did overreact.
But what could I do?
He's the one who provoked me first...
