"Are you sure you can do it?" Xia Pengpeng asked her son.
"Mhm. Don't worry, I'll dress up cute and won't embarrass Mom."
"Okay." Xia Pengpeng believed her son had the ability. She turned and walked downstairs.
Mu Xingye saw Xia Pengpeng returning and asked in confusion, "Why are you going downstairs again?"
"Baby Mu said he could change by himself. I came to give you a hand."
Xia Pengpeng looked at the dishes laid out in the kitchen, unsure of where to start.
Mu Xingye brought over a fruit plate, filled with freshly peeled, slightly red pomegranate seeds, "Take this and go outside to eat it."
Holding the fruit plate, Xia Pengpeng paused, then showed a content smile.
She took a seed and placed it into Mu Xingye's mouth.
"I'll eat here, watch you, and keep you company."
"Okay." Mu Xingye nodded, busy cooking and washing vegetables.
Xia Pengpeng ate one, then fed one to Mu Xingye.
The warm light illuminated their figures, creating an incredibly cozy scene.
