It means when the tribe is in danger, the father would go out to battle hence the word, the father holding the sky
And when the father is away, the protection of the children, the livelihood of the future of the tribe lies on the mother
The education and livelihood then would depends on the mother. When the young child grows up, the men protect the family, the woman aids the livelihoods.
Living in the Steppe is not easy and the harshness of the Steppe created strong men and women
Hence, the sentence, the mother that pacify the earth
The roles are there. It is not like woman couldn't fight. But only women have the miracle of able to bring new generation
Between fighting and bringing the new generation, bringing the new generation into life is more important.
